Asheville is a really nice place, very quiet in comparison to some of the bigger towns or cities in North Carolina but still with enough to do to keep you occupied for a day or two! Nearby there are lots of national and state parks for hiking - grandfather mountain mile bridge (costs $20pp though!) - so we preferred the Linville Gorge & Falls, about 50min drive away but has some really nice viewpoints and waterfalls. There is also the Biltmore Estate - which we decided not to go to on account of it being $60pp!

What we liked was the history.
What we liked was the history. It's everywhere you go; not just at Tryon Palace and the North Carolina History Center but on signs and boards in the streets and plaques on house walls. It all gives New Bern real character and makes you feel part of the place. If you like good food, try Morgans and the Baker's Kitchen.

Asheville is a beautiful city/town in western North Carolina. It's got amazing views of pasture and mountains all around it, and it has some amazingly cool steep dropoffs in elevation that make it a city/town perched on top of a hill (with highways/interstates sitting down below). There's great restaurants and grocery stores too. Check out Earth Fare (a health food grocery store)! It's a (western) North Carolina homegrown grocery store that now has 37 stores not just in North Carolina but as far north as Michigan too.

You need to consider that Wilmington is the place where both Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill were filmed so, if you are around my age, you will be in serials addicted paradise. But, you also need to know that some of the spots are no longer there or under renovation. Nathan and Haley river table is right now surrounded by barricades due to some Riverwalk renovations word and some of the restaurants in DC are no longer there so consider Wilmington as more than that because is lovely. The Riverwalk is very beautiful and there are cute local shops all around. And the Wrightsville Beach nearby is one of the nicest ones in North Carolina.

Nice city to visit, Page road grill was one of the excellent restaurants we ate at.. so many to chose from a muti cultural area. A lot of traffic in Durham. We visited university of North Carolina for the Notre Dame game and came home with a win, big campus

Lots of restaurant choices. We loved O'Charleys. Lots of shopping available. We were going to the Charlotte Speedway which was only about 15 minutes away which was perfect. Folks in North Carolina are very helpful and friendly.

Therefore, we didn’t have to walk up or down to other floors in order to do our laundry. The staff were friendly. The hotel was located in a convenient area with nearby shops and restaurants. Overall, we recommend staying here, and we plan to stay again if we visit Wilmington, North Carolina again in the future.

Fantastic location for downtown Raleigh. Very easy access for the bars, restaurants and museums. The staff were also very friendly and helpful in their recommendations and our room was clean. Raleigh was the starting point for a little road trip around North Carolina that we were doing for 10 days. The Hotel Inn was a great base, location wise, for downtown and the start of this trip.

We loved everything about this motel!!! The location is excellent! I love the fact that you walk down a few steps, and you are standing on the beach, and you are just minutes from shops and restaurants! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning location, right on the beach facing the Atlantic, and I have been of the sea as I stayed 2 weeks in Tuscaloosa, what a gem, its new, but okay, rooms large, large balcony with direct access to the beach. well furnished with a kitchen with no cutlery etc. only fridge and micro, but well enough to cook some fast food. tv setup absolutely good, watched a new prime feature free, netflix was free as someone didnt sign out, well I have my own account like the rest of the world. area is nice and well kept can give my best recommendations I got a floor based room no,. 120, that is good value, the upper in front of the beach is if you want more privacy This is January, I can see how it is in summer, packed
