The Guandi Family Temple is only a 10min walk from the property, very easy to reach and totally worth the visit. As for other tourism attractions although a bit far, the hotel can recommend drivers and the prices are acceptable.

It is on the “the South Street”, the main walking street of the Old town, easy to get to everywhere. It is several steps to the South Gate, so can get a transport car easily. The host is quite friendly, give a lot of travel tips and can also help to arrange tour guide service. They also offer pick up and drop off service to railway station. Room is large and clean, breakfast also good. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Not a common place to visit but very nice
1950 was a good place to eat if you did not want boiled meat and provided a good choice of oriental and western foods. If you like Oriental Food then try Shanxi World Trade Hotel on the 5th floor was excellent. I would recommend Tea City for shopping of a variety of goods and enjoy sitting having tea (Free), in the hope you buy either tea or goods. Digital City is excellent for electrical goods eg: computer, car camera, etc Jinci Temple is a must to see.

The ancient city of course is a very touristic spot with lot of places to eat, cool bars, ancient buildings to visit and buy local things. It is very easy to reach and interesting destination to know more about Shanxi culture and its history. Due to the amount of people and electric cars and their horns the place can be very noisy, but you can still relax if you find a quite place to stay.

Jin Ci temple and park, Pagoda Temple (Shuangta si) and Mengshan Mountain Buddhah are worth seeing and my best choices, there are various family towns in the area i.e. Yuci Ancient City, which are worth seeing; the Shanxi Food is great and includes a lot of home made noodle dishes

The staff of the hotel are very nice and helpful. Linfeng is a small city of Shanxi, and there almost have no foreign visitor in the city. When we arrived, the receptionists were quite shocked. But the girls handled the situation very well. The room is comfortable and clean, it has a large window towards the main street, it was a little bit noisy. Actually, we were happy to see the traffic and the people on the street from our window. It is vivid life scenario on the street.
