We had a great time in this adorable B&B. You will enjoy the stunning view on Catanio and the Ionic Sea while having your breakfast. If you need an advice, just ask Antonio. He will be happy to help you. You should for sure follow his advice when he recommends a restaurant, we did not regret it.
Offering inner courtyard views, La Castellese is an accommodation set in Aci Castello, 1.8 km from Acitrezza Beach and 11 km from Catania Piazza Duomo.

Locals were rude and often very Arrogant and attempted to overcharge far too many times. They hope you won’t challenge them about it. My advice is , Ask how much before paying and Check your receipts and bills .
The town is scruffy and dirty. The vast amounts of discarded Rubbish on the streets is difficult to ignore. Definitely would not return.
Positive note : The sea view and the sunset is beautiful.

Actually Frasteva is located in the town of Valverde not in Aci Castello, which is a short drive awa. It is more inland than Aci Castello and it is convenient to all of the towns that make up "Paesi Etnei", that is, the little towns on the southeastern slope of Mount Etna, which are suburbs of Catania. It is a great jumping off point for Taormina, Catania and Siracusa and is a twenty-five minute ride to the airport, depending on traffic.
What makes this newly renovated and picturesque venue a perfect stay are the wonderful accomodations and the personal and cheery attention to detail given to all that stay there by its host, Stefania. She is simply an absolute pleasure to interact with. I am going there the next time I return to the Catania area and I assure anyone who stays there that they will not be disappointed.

Aci Trezza is beautiful...the place we stayed in is NOT! It had literally a derelict entrance, with wires dangling from the ceiling, parts of which appeared to be about to give in; filthy place (I was expecting to see rats it was that bad!)....It is NOT close to the beach (although the place had a seaview); I would certainly NOT recommend to anybody! Will most certainly not book again! If I were to rate it honestly I would give a 2/10 and the 2 is only for the seaview!

Very quiet place .. Small but very connected to the sea.
Very quiet place .. Small but very connected to the sea. So fish is staple. It is a bit laid back . Think basic and you will love it.
It is such a shame that the towns coming down to Aci Castello (note that this town is close to sea level) have a lot of garbage scattered around and gives you a very different vibe of this beautiful basic fishing village ..

Aci Castello is a great place to stay if you want to explore the area - the wonderful coastline up to Taormina, the great sights while trekking around Etna, and breathtaking villages like Castiglione di Sicilia.
Aci Castello is smaller and quieter than its walk-to, more touristy neighbour Aci Trezzo, and 'The Sea You Can Feel' is a unique place to stay, perched high above the rocky coastline. There are stunning 360 degree views from the spacious roof terrace, a perfect place to indulge in a sundowner or two, whilst the 'lookout' below has 3 walls of windows for relaxing and taking in the amazing location!
The owners, Giuseppe and Antonella are passionate about Sicily and gave us loads of useful advice.
Great location close to the core of AciTrezza, with free parking. Great view of the Costa dei Ciclopi from apartment.
I loved the gas stove. Internet was fine. Friendly and supportive hosts.
Spectacular are the neighbouring towns. AciTrezza itself is a charming fishing village. AciCastello, which can be reached by foot in 20 minutes, has a nice castle and a sea terrace with relaxing cafes. Acireale is a spectacular middle-sized town with a fascinating passegiata and great shopping. Taormina is a 40 minutes ride away.
Our hosts were super friendly and we really enjoyed chatting with them. Villa Antonio is located on a hillside overlooking the city of Catania with seaviews and is only a short drive from the city and the neighbouring seaside towns of Acicastello and Acitrezza, which are popular for their seafood restaurants. It is also a few minutes drive to the north-south east coast highway. The property itself is very clean and WIFI is fantastic. Breakfast was also very good with both salty and sweet options.
Alfio was a wonderful host, he was always very punctual and the house was full of comforts.
I recommend it to whoever is looking for a house fully equipped with everything and the most breathtaking views of all times. The house is huge and easy access to the centre of Catania.
Assigned parking if you have a car or two and perfect to rent for a big family.
Direct access to the sea side and much more to discover :)
The apartment was a fantastic find. It has kitchen, sitting room, bathroom, bedroom, and then a terrace with a view looking right at the Castello Normanno and the sea. The ground floor is a restaurant, but there are plenty more around town. The town square (one block away, in front of the castle) was lovely and lively. Oh- the washing machine was a convenience, as we had been in hotels the previous few nights.
The location is great, next to the small city center with restaurants, fishing pier. Parking at the street is available, costs 3.80/day (use EasyPark app). The apartment was clean, fully equipped kitchen. A small tub, you can use it for showering. The airport is about 30-45 minutes, depending on the parking, Etna, Siracuse, Savoca, Taormina are all within an hour drive.
The apartment is clean comfortable and big enough to accommodate our family of two adults, 8 yrs old child and 1h old toddler. It is located on a very convenient place that we used for exploring Catania and the east Sicilian coast. We used the option to park our rent-a-car in front of the building which makes loading/unloading of the kids very easy.
There is an amazing view of the sea with access to the beach just across the street. The swimming pool in the back was delightful and refreshing! staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea and the 3 Cyclops was a very memorable experience.
The property was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. It was also in a great location, very close to small shops, restaurants, and cafés. The host gave clear instructions on how to enter the property and use the facilities inside such as WiFi.
The room was spacious and clean, and the owner very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed the free breakfast of pastries and coffee. The hotel is just a short walk away from Aci Castello’s main square, and a half hour drive to the airport in Catania.
Really nice and modern Appartement.
We could even sit on the roof terrace.
We really enjoyed our stay close to the beach with lovely restaurants.
Giuseppe ist a really nice and friendly host.
The place is pretty nice and the host was very helpful in telling us where to dine and where to park our car. No problem on our check-in or stay. It is about 20/25m drive from Catania airport.
Fantastic spot to explore Sicily! Close to the water, number of restaurants and an old castle.
Great value, easy contact with the host. Definitely recommending!
