We had a wonderful time with our family. The location was great, central, but yet very quiet. The apartment was well designed and well equipped. The communication with Stefania was excellent!

Absolutely amazing place to stay, the house was spotlessly clean! Really fully equipped kitchen, we didn't eat at any restaurants due to my eldest son's anaphylaxis and were easily able to prepare all our meals in the house.
Having a dishwasher and washing machine were really useful too.
So many little things that made a huge difference to our stay, like a couple of games and a football being there for the children to play with.
Beautiful garden that goes all the way around the house and the view is incredible. Would 100% recommend and would definitely stay again.
Thankyou very much!
A recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Aci Castello, La Scogliera In features a garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 1.7 km from Spiaggetta di Ognina.

Locals were rude and often very Arrogant and attempted to overcharge far too many times. They hope you won’t challenge them about it. My advice is , Ask how much before paying and Check your receipts and bills .
The town is scruffy and dirty. The vast amounts of discarded Rubbish on the streets is difficult to ignore. Definitely would not return.
Positive note : The sea view and the sunset is beautiful.

Actually Frasteva is located in the town of Valverde not in Aci Castello, which is a short drive awa. It is more inland than Aci Castello and it is convenient to all of the towns that make up "Paesi Etnei", that is, the little towns on the southeastern slope of Mount Etna, which are suburbs of Catania. It is a great jumping off point for Taormina, Catania and Siracusa and is a twenty-five minute ride to the airport, depending on traffic.
What makes this newly renovated and picturesque venue a perfect stay are the wonderful accomodations and the personal and cheery attention to detail given to all that stay there by its host, Stefania. She is simply an absolute pleasure to interact with. I am going there the next time I return to the Catania area and I assure anyone who stays there that they will not be disappointed.

Aci Trezza is beautiful...the place we stayed in is NOT!
Aci Trezza is beautiful...the place we stayed in is NOT! It had literally a derelict entrance, with wires dangling from the ceiling, parts of which appeared to be about to give in; filthy place (I was expecting to see rats it was that bad!)....It is NOT close to the beach (although the place had a seaview); I would certainly NOT recommend to anybody! Will most certainly not book again! If I were to rate it honestly I would give a 2/10 and the 2 is only for the seaview!

Very quiet place .. Small but very connected to the sea.
Very quiet place .. Small but very connected to the sea. So fish is staple. It is a bit laid back . Think basic and you will love it.
It is such a shame that the towns coming down to Aci Castello (note that this town is close to sea level) have a lot of garbage scattered around and gives you a very different vibe of this beautiful basic fishing village ..

Aci Castello is a great place to stay if you want to explore the area - the wonderful coastline up to Taormina, the great sights while trekking around Etna, and breathtaking villages like Castiglione di Sicilia.
Aci Castello is smaller and quieter than its walk-to, more touristy neighbour Aci Trezzo, and 'The Sea You Can Feel' is a unique place to stay, perched high above the rocky coastline. There are stunning 360 degree views from the spacious roof terrace, a perfect place to indulge in a sundowner or two, whilst the 'lookout' below has 3 walls of windows for relaxing and taking in the amazing location!
The owners, Giuseppe and Antonella are passionate about Sicily and gave us loads of useful advice.
Great location close to the core of AciTrezza, with free parking. Great view of the Costa dei Ciclopi from apartment.
I loved the gas stove. Internet was fine. Friendly and supportive hosts.
Spectacular are the neighbouring towns. AciTrezza itself is a charming fishing village. AciCastello, which can be reached by foot in 20 minutes, has a nice castle and a sea terrace with relaxing cafes. Acireale is a spectacular middle-sized town with a fascinating passegiata and great shopping. Taormina is a 40 minutes ride away.
We had a nice stay at Pupi. The rooms are nice and clean with AC and nice views. Pepe, the host is very friendly and gave us A LOT of information about what to do and where to go around the area. He was always there if we needed something. The property is in a nice location with beautiful views of Aci Castelo and Aci Trezza. 10-15 min by car to the sea and 1 hour in any direction to all the attractions that are in the area. The breakfast is Italian ( very sweet) but Pepe will cook for you something sour if you want.
La Terrazza was delightful. Federico and his mom are wonderful, caring hosts. The B&B is spotlessly clean and modern, and has just four rooms, so it's very quiet and intimate. View from the terrace is spectacular, and we could easily walk into Aci Castello or Aci Trezza from its location. Our room was comfortable, and the bathroom was larger and better-appointed than most in Sicily. There is secure parking inside the house's gated entrance--a real bonus.
Great location to rocky beach and sea sports facilities and restaurants. Two apartments sharing main entrance with large roof top terrace with sea view. Each apartment has a long balcony private. Newly renovated, fully equipped kitchen, new fridge and appliances, soft towels and lovely shower and bathroom. Public parking near restaurants available, may get tricky during dinner time so ask host for free private parking address.
It was our second time at La Terrazza, and won’t be the last one. Everything was great. Apartment is located right at the seafront. It has two big terraces, one overlooking the sea and the castle. Many restaurants, shops and cafes are within walking distance. Lucrezia (owner) is very warm and helpful person and she will make sure you have enjoyable stay. She also bakes the best pear tarts ever!
The room was spacious and clean, and the owner very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed the free breakfast of pastries and coffee. The hotel is just a short walk away from Aci Castello’s main square, and a half hour drive to the airport in Catania.
The owner was very kind and thoughtful. The apartment is lovely and very comfortable. I liked the fact it was so central and I could get to shops, restaurants etc so easily and yet it was quiet.Acitrezza is a beautiful area.
Lovely, relaxing place. We were there with kids and it's just perfect; huge garden to play in, helpful and friendly host. With a car in just few minutes you reach shops and water front with restaurants.
The host was super friendly, even language was barrier, he was able to communicate and understand us well. Nice place with car parking. Located close to beach, nice views, clean washrooms and kitchen.
We loved the location. Everything about the neighborhood was great. It met our needs perfectly. The recommendations for places to go and things to do were put to good use and very much appreciated.
Very clean and well kept apartment full of facilities
Parking available near the site
Friendly host who made sure we had everything we needed
Close to the beach and restaurants
The apartment is clean, comfortable, well equipped and organized. The owner is very kind and helpful. The location is perfect if you like to visit Catania and its surrounding,
Fantastic spot to explore Sicily! Close to the water, number of restaurants and an old castle.
Great value, easy contact with the host. Definitely recommending!
