Beautiful interior of cottage. Comfy and delightful to stay in. We had excellent weather, but had it been bad, there was loads of interesting looking reading material to browse.
Alex was friendly and made us feel welcome.
That bath is quite special!
We loved the location, up the chapel path.

Most of all we were genuinely touched by how friendly and helpful people are there. When we were in Cemlyn nature reserve, we started chatting with a local and we mentioned that we are from Slovenia and that we would like to see some cliffs. He pointed some great ones for us to see. After saying goodbye we headed slowly to our car. Behind windshield wiper we found hand drawn map of the way to cliffs. We couldn't even speak!
The nature is really amazing. Maybe we were lucky that we booked our trip in april because there were not many tourists and we had pleasent experience. But nevertheless people would always be great there, I'm sure.

Machynlleth is a great town to visit, but very quiet on Mondays with a lot of shops/cafes closed. MOMA is great for those enjoying gallery space and there are several antique shops for browsers. The Deli near the clock tower has wonderful offerings, sadly the kitchen was closed the day of my visit but I left with bags of goodies to eat later. Wednesday is the day to visit when the market takes over the wide main main street.

I've been in love with Machynlleth for decades and will literally tell anyone to go there. Except don't, because I'd like to keep it for myself please. The highlight of one of this year's trips was the Machynlleth comedy festival which I'd not made it to before but was superb. Easy access to incredible beaches and incredible countryside. Some of the best (Michelin starred) restaurants in the country from Ynyshir to SY23 in Aberystwyth. Great shopping - definitely always make time to pop in the Deco Shop.

If you like the peace and quiet away from people with great views from every window. Sheep in the fields to watch. But close enough to everything you need ie restaurants, takeaways, pubs, walks, beach, shops etc then you’ll enjoy it as much as we did. You also had all of the amenities and equipment to cook for yourselves if that appeals.

If you want to get away from the current troubles all around the world this is a good place to be! It has all the amenities needed along with a wonderful sense of stability and sanity. I felt refreshed on leaving - as I always do over 50 years of visiting this beautiful town. I will be back!
The Co-op has a great store within a store for all sorts of bargains - like leather belts for €6 and quality copy perfumes for €4! And the nicest assistant ever!
Fantastic place, homely setting with comfy beds, spacious rooms and very friendly hosts. We booked last minute due to a change in plans and were so happy with our choice. The hosts were very accommodating to our requests and so nice when we chatted with them in the morning. We spent a very comfy night in our room and enjoyed a simple and delicious breakfast the morning after.. We'll definitely keep this as a place to stay again when exploring North Wales
A very interesting and unique setting close to Machynlleth centre….an upstairs walk through barn with a range of bedrooms, toilet / bathroom 🚽 plus separate kitchen with all mod cons including microwave & oven. A great place to meet up with others using this budget hostel.

The property is in a great location. It is a short drive to Machynlleth town centre and the village has a charming shop, Idris Stores, where you can get all the essentials plus delicious fresh pastries.
The patio terrace is a beautiful place to sit back and read a book. We particularly enjoyed listening to the sounds of the river and surrounding wildlife.
In heart of Machynlleth, proper old pub like, good parking. Dated decor and room style but very clean and comfortable. Bar and restaurant very handy; plenty of room even for us four with little dog. so suitable for our short stay. All staff very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very good, well prepared and provided in a friendly manner. The location was beautiful and very convenient for Machynlleth. The host and hostess were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy. Views were spectacular
The countryside setting was idyllic especially with the nearby flock of sheep. Love the nearby narrow gauge RR and King Arthur attraction. Too bad the fast low flying jets weren't flying the Mach Loop while we were there!
incredible views and pods are so well equipped.
visited over May Bank Holiday so surrounded by the cutest lambs! Close to Machynlleth as we were attending the comedy festival
The most beautiful village surrounded by forest with modern and comfortable hotel. We arrived late but the hosts found a way to serve dinner. Huge thanks to them for that!
Very quiet and welcoming, beautiful views and stunning location. Great base to explore the surrounding areas. Great shower and very comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen.
Really liked the little cottage. Very nice log fire and really cosy. We had a lovely stay in great location, close to Machynlleth and with great walks nearby.
