We received a warm welcome from Jamie upon our arrival at the hotel and were impressed with Sam's friendliness and enthusiasm the next morning over a delicious breakfast . We really enjoyed hearing about as well as seeing the progress they are making in restoring this gorgeous house back its former glory and we wish them every success!

Lovely oldie world hotel with all modern conveniences. Breakfast buffet is high quality and quiet varied. Showers are some of the best I've ever used and are fantastic after a days walking or climbing.

Such an incredible stay we decided to stay again, beautiful location and house, perfect room both warm and comfortable with all you need, fast internet, cosy beds, lots of room, clean, tidy, quite. We could not have wanted for anything more. Robin and Jane were extremely accommodating, we had our dogs with us who loved the place and the grounds. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and they were the perfect hosts. Their passion for hospitality and clearly for amazing food was clear to see. Also to reiterate... the food was amazing.

If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place, fantastic surroundings and only a short drive to town, decent facilities and beautiful grounds including a lake, very helpful and polite receptionist on site for most of the day, shame we did not stay longer but will return. 😍😍😍😍😚😍😍😍😘😘😘😘
