I’m not sure I can find the words to describe how amazing George and Janice are with their beautiful home, but I’ll try. First, the communication was perfect, from directions to recommendations. The hosts made it easy to get there. Next, the pictures don’t do the property justice. The grounds are well landscaped and the home shows attention to every detail. The room was spotless and quite comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The stay was literally perfect, with the highlight of meeting the wonderful hosts. They couldn’t have been more welcoming. We are looking forward to staying here again as soon as possible!

This was one of the best places that I've ever stayed at. Vena and Nick really made sure that your stay was comfortable. Breakfast and Dinner is made to order and is incredible. Hopefully if they visit us in Los Angeles, we would love to pass on the same experience

It was a nice hotel with a restaurant and a well stocked whiskey bar. Staff were friendly, helpful and worked very hard. Seemed like each person had multiple jobs from tending bar to serving your food and checking you in. Easy off-street parking. Our junior suite was nice and comfortable.

The town is very historic but seems to lack the vision other towns in Scotland seemed to have found. The main street could be more ornate to capture attention of people passing through (as well as encourage better usage or street front property) and the commercial street behind the Main Street is not easily found or accessed…. Might be best to make a parking lot at the park on south end and make the commercial street a walking venue with ornate and historic flavor to attract both local people and travelers….

A good array of local and National grocery shops either side of the river, including a large Tesco. The Indian takeaway is also a big plus! The local shops and bakeries were all great.
Great mainline train service down from Inverness or up from Aberdeen, plus the quaint heritage line from Keith Town station to Dufftown.
Keith is well placed to explore the NE coastal towns and villages, across to Aviemore or Glenfarclas distillery (shameless plug for them), or indeed into Aberdeenshire.

I was staying there to go to the Dufftown Highland Games.
I was staying there to go to the Dufftown Highland Games. I'd heard that it was a very friendly occasion where most people there were locals. That's just how it was. I had a really splendid day, never having been to such an event before, it was better than I could have imagined.
