Cadair Cottage was spacious, clean, and, for the most part, well-provisioned. Location was quiet yet central to the hikes in Snowdonia National Park and close to the coast and beaches. The location was out of town with walks available without driving yet close enough to Dolgelleu for shopping and other amenities.

Dolgellau is a small but compact town with shops and pubs...
Dolgellau is a small but compact town with shops and pubs etc easily accessible. Main car park by the river is on the edge of town but a minutes walk away from the centre. There could be more choice of restaurants and cafes but we found a hotel (The Ship) that served good food.

Beautiful, incredibly preserved small market town. The weather didn't allow us to explore close surroundingds as we wished. The town itself has got plenty of pubs, cafes, gift shops, art shops. The parking was not good steep narrow road I think once inside the property there was 44 steps or stairs some very steep and narrow, wouldn’t recommend to guests with any type of mobility issues. Lounge furniture needs replacing very old and uncomfortable lounge smelt musty. One of the bedrooms very damp with mushroom type mould Growing on wall and carpet. Bathrooms very nice modern plenty of them. Everything you needed supplied in the kitchen. Beds very comfortable lovely bedding. A well maintained property, with delightful hosts. Breakfasts very good. Lovely gardens and views of the countryside/hills. Room facilities good, comfy & cosy. I plan to stay here again when next visiting the area. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Good base for lots of things. great walking area. I used it as a base for a golfing break as it's in the centre of a triangle of some great links golf courses incl St David's [Harlech], Aberdovey, and Porthmadog, And the spectacular Welshpool GC with amazing views over 5 counties! Great laundry facilities, when you are away for the weekend and need to get uniform sorted for the next week. Everyone slept well. We used the kitchen table for breakfast. Parking 2 cars was comfortable. I would like to keep this place a secret so that I can come back with my family and investigate the Dolgellau area, would love to stay here again. There is simply so much to do in the area. Hill walking, watersports, cycling etc. The property was very spacious, with plenty of room to park all six of our cars. We absolutely loved the beautiful gardens leading down to the river, and the hot tub. Had the weather been poor, I'm sure we would have made more use of the games room.

Furniture, decoration and paintings are beautiful and well matched. This is more a luxury boutique hotel than a B&B. Our hosts were really nice and showed us around. Serafina speaks a very good Italian. Her breakfast was delicious. My two children and I stayed in the "Stables" and it has everything you could possibly need for a holiday, full cooking facilities, fridge, freezer, large dining table, 3 bedrooms, including one with en suite. Provided some amazing tips on where we could visit as we were in the North of Wales to do a lot of hiking. The room was had was very spacious and had a very comfortable bed. Provided great Breakfast for the week we stayed with them. We cannot wait to visit North Wales again and stay with them.

Great location to explore the area and also to walk into Dolgellau in the evening. Host was easy to contact and gave some great recommendations for food in the area. We would definitely recommend the pizzas in the Stag Inn.
