It is very quiet beautiful German town with small neat houses (life boils in the center). Location is good - you may get by railways to any part of the Germany or even Europe using connecting trains from nearby cities. It is stretched out - would be more convinient getting the car (especially if you want to see the sights).

The Klingenmuseum was well worth the the entire trip! The exhibits are excellent and the staff enthusiastic and knowledgeable. A visit to the Wüsthof factory store is also a good idea and if you like Haribo gummy bears, well, Solingen seems the place to go.

The beds are comfortable. The owners live on the ground floor, and were at home to welcome us, hand over the keys and inform us about the area. We stayed on the second floor, and we enjoyed the view over Solingen and surrounding area. There are shops and supermarkets within easy walking distance. Restaurant Weegerhof, nearby, provides good home cooked German and Croatian food which is excellent value for money.HedyYoung couple

Plenty of restaurants nearby. Stefan was an amazing host. Went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us (thank you again).
