Plenty of excellent restaurants in Clifden from mid-price to expensive. Great coffee and snacks available at very reasonable prices. Good shopping and excellent craft/art/souvenir shops in the town. There is so much to see.
There is so much to see. I'm a walker and we were able to access many great walks - mountain, sea and forest walks. We had a car to get to locations. Good location for exploring Connemara. Fabulous scenery. Plenty places to eat in the evenings.

Well I couldnt fault Clifden it has everything tourists need especially friendship any establishment we went to people were very helpful and courteous we will definitely go back again as it was our first stay in Clifden

A beautiful area in the National Park. The little town centre was quite vibrant for such a remote area and lots of independent cafes and shops It was possible to do manageable walks (even for us oldies)

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. Getting a local taxi was a bit of a problem so we had to drive everywhere, which didn't allow us to have a drink in the town as our accommadation was about 3 miles outside the village.Patrick

I happened to book the morning prior to my stay- I was really winging it on this trip. I love my stay at the Old Exchange. Clifden was one of my favorite stops on my vacation. Mari was great…super hospitable but not helicoptering. She has a sweet dining area that I met a few other guests in, and had some great conversation. It’s close enough to everything happening in the immediate town area…the room was quiet, comfortable, cute! 10/10 would & will stay again!KKelliUnited States

One is at the far end of Europe. Yet the town of Clifden is 12 minutes away and it has plenty of pubs, and the festival in september. It is the optimal place to stay a few days to visit all Connemara Catriona has been very attentive to our needs , indications to find the house, breakfast, and very kind.GérardFrance

It’s a quick walk into town. Overall this is a very cute and cozy B&B. Also, I forgot my jacket during my stay and the hosts arranged for it to be brought to me at my next hotel the following day. They really care about their guests!! Wish I could have stayed more nights.

From the lovely greeting you get with even the kettle been put on for us to the gorgeous meal in the restaurant to the fabulous breakfast the next morning. The scenic views are excellent and the lovely Bruce the dog made is very special. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely we will be back.joanIreland

There was plenty of parking and the rooms were nice and big. The breakfast was outstanding the next morning. The omelet was cooked to perfection. Overall, a great place to stay, especially if you have a car.
