The staff/management are great. We've met Maria at the front desk in the morning and she made our day. She made us a nice breakfast and then helped us with our requests. We were very impressed with the management, they assisted us when we need it most.

I hated this property and I don’t understand why booking .com rated as fabulous. It’s the most horrible hotel I’ve ever been

This stay was purely for transfer to the airport the next day, so just needed a bed for the night and a taxi to the airport the following day
However I have stayed in Kalamata many times before, and it is a wonderful city for a short break, with a great choice of lively cafes and eateries on the seafront.
The traffic is lighter along the seafront than in most Greek cities; Kalamata feels safe to walk around at night and in the daytime there are some interesting historic areas and museums to visit.

Kalamata is a fantastic place but it does take a while to become familiar with it. We've been on many occasions and we prefer to take the bus in (from Stoupa) because we find driving in Kalamata quite stressful. This is not because of the Greek drivers who are very courteous but more because we are not too familiar with the roads.
Our favourite place to visit is the market, which is on Saturdays and Wednesdays and it is fantastic. The quality, selection and price (and especially the price) are fantastic. The bus station is just across the road from the market so not far to walk.

Kalamata is a great small city in the Peloponnes, which caters for every interest. It has a some historical places, a beautiful old town with tradtional shops, an amazing coast with beaches, super clean water, very good and afordable restaurants and bars and a great ambiance. A city which you can explore easily by foot.
Further it can be used as a base for some of the most interesting places to visit in the Peloponnes like Mani, Mystras, Koroni, ancient Messene, the Apollon Temple and a lot more.

What an absolutely amazing growing metropolis!
What an absolutely amazing growing metropolis! Safe, secure, welcoming, fashion oriented, health conscious residents and simply a pleasure being around.
Simply attending a town square on any given night will be demonstration enough to illustrate the hospitable welcoming people of Kalamata with children of all ages playing with each-other, (no phones included, LOL), laughing, talking as kids should!
Everyone is not only healthy, but fit. It was astonishing that we struggled with my wife to find any unfit person in hundreds of people, especially the kids in town!
Bravo Kalamata... you are doing things right!

Kalamata is a functional and tidy harbor town.
Kalamata is a functional and tidy harbor town. It is conveniently close to Kalamata airport. Kalamata does not have a wow factor. Would only stay there when in transit and need a night in a hotel to catch an early morning flight the next day.

Kalamata is a great town and my favourite place to visit in...
Kalamata is a great town and my favourite place to visit in all of Greece but then I am prejudiced seeing I feel such a strong connection due to it being the capital of the province where my parents were born. There are many restaurants to visit by the seafront and in the centre of town, most being of very good quality.
Excellent food and beverage staff with great politeness and skills across the hotel. At breakfast at costa beach bar and the pool bar. Iliana and Kostas in particular were awesome. Also the reception staff. Thank you. I hope you are all appreciate and recognised by your leader!
Loved the traditional Greek coffee making
Loved the reasonable prices
Loved the massage we had
Great breakfast options
Very clean and looked after throughout
Loved the proximity to Kalamata with all the food and drink options
The accommodation was in a quiet area, no disturbing traffic. The neighbors were good. The balcony was large and with sea views with sunset. If it got too hot, there was an awning and jalusi. And with mosquito nets, we did not have to worry about any insects, in general, there were not many of them. The beds were excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and we could cook several evenings. The courtyard was a sea of flowers. The hostess was the friendliest you can find in Greece, and she loves flowers.
Very nice hotel in the outskirts of Kalamata (it is located in Verga beach, which is approximately 7km from Kalamata). The breakfast was very good with both savory and sweet food. The hotel provides a parking for its customers and also there is a little beach downhill, where the customers can seat and relax.
Regarding our room, we booked a twin room with one bed. It was comfortable and it had a balcony. Finally, the room service was what you'd expect by a hotel of these standards.
+ coffee break kit( lots of jams, croutons, cream for each guest and lots of Greek coffee)
+Friendly host and his wife. They both explain everything about places in Kalamata and local things. They also give us advice where to go and that to see
+Place and view
+Privacy
+Sun protection (theft as well) on the windows and dors
+Fully equipped backyard which gives a good expression
+Safe place and good neighborhood (very quiet as well)
+Good furniture and a full kitchen
Great hotel and its a go to for Kalamata with the beach across the road, a great pool bar and a smaller pool for children.
Gym is a good one but should be open earlier than midday to accommodate those that want to train early, eat breakfast and get into the Kalamata sun. Staff are always on point and will help with anything you wish. The business centre is good enough as I used it a couple of times.
Very comfortable, new apartment, located within a 5-10 minute walk to either the main plaza and the main beach. We were very well looked after by Petros, who was very responsive and always helpful. It was quiet and clean, the bed was comfortable, and we were able to get an earlier check in and later check out to suit our travel plans. Highly recommend this accommodation in Kalamata.
Aside from the unforgetable views, the beautiful stay and location that was close to local beach's, restaurants and attractions, the hosts and essentailly Dimitri were lovely and
very accomondating and attended to very need. We loved our daily chat's with Yiayia who we will miss dearly. Petra Thea has been a highlight of our holiday to Greece !
A truly amazing hotel where it is so beautifully structured and decorated, with a magnificent area just below the hotel where we enjoyed our breakfast, which was hearty rich and delicious. Excellent staff, everything spotlessly clean, the location the best you will find in Kalamata. We will visit again soon
well situated on the beach in Kalamata, and close to the location of the wedding we attended. Nearby parking lot meant I didn’t have to hunt for street parking. Staff was friendly, one even brought my hat out to the parking lot when I forgot it at checkout.
Super nice lobby and rooms. The mattress was HUGE, and we were not expecting that.
The breakfast was also great.
Super amazing value compared to other hotels in the area, and it didn't seem to me that we were sacrificing anything.
10/10 all the way across. Great location in the center of Kalamata. Wifi amazing. Most comfortable bed we have found in Greece. Immaculately clean. Great service from the owner and also cafe staff down below(central cafe).
Beuatiful conversion of an old neo-classical building. Nice and comfortable rooms. Great location and restaurant bar next to the sea with great views to the Messinian bay, the port of Kalamata and the mountains beyond.
The room had a partial but very nice water view. The internet was excellent. Nice restaurant 2 doors down on the left as you exit and the speak English and very nice food. The water is right across from the hotel.
Hotel had generally excellent facilities, good size outdoor pool, hotel sun loungers on the beach and nice bar and dining facilities. The rooms were also large with good quality comfy beds and A/C.
The room was very clean and comfy! It is a bit small but is all you need for a small stay in Kalamata. Argyris was very polite and helpful and answered really quickly in any message we sent
This hotel is right in the middle of Kalamata. The staff is great and the have a good breakfast. And I loves the free sweets 24 hrs. Oh and they have a parking right around the corner.
