The shower was mouldy around the bottom. The duvets were hardly big enough for the single beds. Biggest problem was that the ground floor bedroom was on the street level and as the hotel bar closed at 2am all those passing were loud and disruptive. We didn’t get to sleep till gone 3am. I know the bar can’t control the noise of customers on the street but when you’ve been told it’s a quiet room it’s very annoying. On the plus side the staff and food in the bar was good.

Forfar is a great little market town, filled with plenty of character. Lots of cafes and restaurants, as well as coffee houses. The usual spread of big supermarkets and plenty of smaller shops. Forfar is handy for Arbroath, Brechin & Montrose. Aberdeen is a 45 min drive north on the dual carriageway. Well served with good rail and bus links, north and south.

I love Forfar. The folk are so friendly.
I love Forfar. The folk are so friendly. Like most places, there’s been a lot of development in the area and a lot of new faces but everything is still within walking distance, supposing you’re fit for it.
I love the West End bar where the staff and clientele make you and your four legged escort welcome.
Alas, Frank’s is not what it once was.
Lots of the multinationals in town now but the independent retailers are just holding their own. Shop local!

Lovely friendly staff made me welcome.Accommodation lovely & clean highly recommended to future guests.Great night’s sleep even though it had a night club I never heard a thing.Beautiful big terrace excellent place to stay
Bruce was the most wonderful host. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming and gave great recommendations of places to visit while in the area. Bruce's home is immaculate and he provides a fantastic breakfast with a selection of cereals, toast, jams and a cooked breakfast option. The wifi is noted in the room and there is an iron and ironing board provided as well. We were made to feel so welcome and will definitely return next time we're in the area.
The manager met me on arrival and explained everything. I wouldn't easily have found this particular static caravan if he hadn't shown me. It is well fitted out with everything you are likely to need, a good shower, good heating, hot water etc. It is comfortable, and quite spacious. Parking is easy and it is quick to get onto main roads to move around the area. There is a good cafe (open all year) on-site, and Forfar has plenty of shopping.
Great stay. Location was excellent - visiting family in Forfar just 1 mile away. Comfy seating in the lounge area. Everything you need for self-catering available in the kitchen/dining area. Great sized fridge/freezer and cooker. Large double bedroom with plenty of storage. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
A beautifully presented van with everything you could ever need. Clean and fresh bedding and towels supplied. The decking was perfect for the beautiful weather we had over the weekend. A lovely quiet, friendly site within easy reach of Forfar, Glamis Castle and the stunning scenery roundabout.
Katie greeted us on arrival and was very helpful explaining everything about the caravan, site and area. The caravan was spotless and has everything you and your dog could possibly wish for. The king-size bed is so comfortable! Can't wait until we stay again next time we are in Forfar.
The property is in a great location. The owners were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was delicious. The use of the pool and spa area was such a great way to relax and enjoy some time together. We would definitely recommend and we will hopefully find another excuse to return.
Enjoyed the location, peaceful with vistas of rolling countryside. Kirrimuir, Forfar, Montrose and Arbroath all within easy reach. Friendly helpful host. Great place to "chill" in between house moves so perfect to de-stress. Dog friendly too - bonus. Cosy and roomy
Great location to visit family & friends over New Year's Eve. Lovely accommodation & dog friendly, stays warms and decent shower.
WiFi free to use and living area a great place to relax. When arrived, greeted by a welcoming gentleman who showed us around.
Lovely peaceful location on working farm. Lots of wildlife, lovely cottage. Great hosts. The host left lots of little extras such as milk, tea, coffee, even a bottle of wine and made us feel very welcome. It was a pretty area, lots to do and see.
Had all the facilities and more than we needed, spacious & perfect for us as a family
The owners were friendly with great communication throughout booking and great local knowledge of the area. Making us feeling really welcome
Not far off the main road, 5 minute drive from forfar. Peaceful cosy wee cottage. Hosts did a fab job. Definitely will be booking to come back this year! Hot tub an welcome basket was the perfect wee touches
Ian was a wonderful host. Good area recommendations. Enjoyed meeting him, would stay here again. Breakfast was so good, we talked about the salmon all day.
