Darren & Karen were simply perfect hosts. Before we arrived they provided additional details about their location. They are very friendly and have a great knowledge of the best places to visit in the area. They provided a large supply of local tourist pamphlets & maps to help. There was a large choice of both food and drink for breakfast - which was very tasty. Top top job Darren & Karen

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, the location is outstanding. Breakfast is wonderful. It's a great place we wished we'd had more time to stay at.
The food at the hotel restaurant was lovely. The chef sources ingredients locally and they have their own garden. It was very up scale for being so far off beaten path. The staff were very friendly and accommodating getting us in for dinner even with our late arrival. The highland cows grazing and view were spectacular. The beds were comfortable and it was so quiet. Just beware that the roads in the area are narrow and winding and at times "single track with passing places" and speed limits are 60mi/hr.

Tiny little village, not alot going on unless your part of the yatching community. There is a small shop which closes quite early on the weekends & a local pub.
Great views of Loch Craignish as the village is on it's banks. Bit if your looking for a little more bustle then head off to one of the slighly larger villages. Plenty of walks and countryside.
The Hotel was excellent. The staff were all very cheerful. The view was amazing. The food was great. We enjoyed the folk night on Friday. Our dog enjoyed the stay. The walk down to the beach was good. The room was fine and the bed was comfortable. Also the room was not too hot. There was a great verandah to sit on. It was ideal for a family holiday. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. It was very quiet. There was a library to sit in and a shop to buy maps and guide books

Most friendly staff we’ve ever experienced after staying at well over 50 hotels in Scotland. Special shout out has to go to Emma who looked after us so well during our stay. We stayed in room 24, overall rooms were clean & views unbeatable. Hotel kindly accommodated us with use of the library for an all day meeting we had, nothing was ever a problem. Food was excellent at hotel restaurant, we went back 3 days in a row, nothing compared locally! We’ll definitely be back.
The staff were fantastic, really friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. Nothing was to much trouble, Kirsty in particular made our stay really enjoyable. The room we stayed in was quite small, it was tastefully decorated with great lighting options, the bathroom was a good size, modern and had a fab shower. The bed was a little on the soft side for my liking but we both slept well. The cleanliness of all areas of the hotel was very good.
The hotel was in a quiet scenic location with a beautiful view from the restaurant. Staff were pleasant and responsive. The facilities were modern, very well presented and generally clean. There was sufficient car parking. Our room had a spacious ensuite shower room with plenty of hot water. The hotel restaurant served very good quality food at a fair price. Breakfasts were also good with a range of options, well cooked.
The hotel has been refurbished and everything is new and in good condition. There are very interesting pictures on the walls and also objets d'arts. Good supply of tea, coffee etc and also tissues!
We had a delicious dinner and our table had a fabulous view of the loch. The location is sensational and there are lovely areas to sit out.
This was our first visit to Loch Melfort Hotel and it won`t be our last. We had a wonderful stay here, the scenery & views from the hotel are super.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable.
We had dinner and breakfast and our meals were lovely especially our dinner at night.
Great service from all the staff.
No road separating hotel from Loch. Comfortable path between property and beach. Accessible for most abilities. There are views from almost every room. Dog friendly - can take dog to restaurant but eat in an adjacent room - still great views. Food is exceptional.
The dinner we had at this hotel was amazing! One of the best we had in all of Scotland. Had a lovely furled of flowers on the way to the Loch and a field with hairy coo that came right to the fence. Hotel itself was fine - but worth the stay for the dinner alone.
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, views from the hotel are some of the best I’ve seen, the room was spotless, large and very comfortable, food was delicious, staff where friendly and efficient, will deffinately be returning
