Quaint town. Beautiful seafront. Summer weather is outstanding. Town has all of the conveniences one wants. Supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops, take aways, banks and ATMs. Boat and canoe hire. Extremely popular town over the Easter and year end holidays. With good reason!

We just love Port Alfred, it is Quiet and not overcrowded / Pick n Pay Centre very nice - very friendly locals / Of course Guido's wonderful pizza / beautiful golf course / 28km of river to cruise up / the Rosehill Mall not too big, actually small but sufficient with a huge Spar. Car wash while you shop. Overall is Port Alfred just the perfect place to stay - right in the centre between East London and Port ELizabeth - 150km each way.

Port Alfred is a wonderful small town on the coast with many beaches and the river that one can boat on for quite some distance. In the area there are many other attractions such as museums, the giant pineapple, game reserves and other small towns that are worth a visit.

We stopped here for a night on our trip along the garden route. We were pleasantly surprised at this little coastal town and how beautiful it is. We ate at a restaurant called Tash's and the staff were so friendly. Being accustomed to Johannesburg pricing, we were also blown away by how affordable everything is in Port Alfred. I would think that during peak months, it could get quite busy, but early September seemed to be a good time to visit this cozy time.

My wife and I booked the Villa at the property, which was large and very well equipped. The villa had a lounge and dining area, as well as a second bedroom. The bathroom had a bath as well as a large separate shower area. The view from your private balcony was lovely, and you could see the ocean in the distance. Safe property in a quite suburb of Port Alfred. The breakfast was well prepared and adequate. Burnette was a lovely host and most welcoming. Highly recommend this property.

Maybe due to lack of funds the property is not kept in good repair. Unmatched crockery, poor maintainance, scruffy furniture etc. The property is on the beach front which should be an advantage but there is a very noisy pub 100m ways playing VERY loud music which you can hear over the TV not cool at all. Marlene the manager is beyond helpful and gets back to you to help immediately she is a real gem

The location is amazing, on the beach, very close to a great restaurant and small grocery store. Also within 5 to 10 min drive of other beaches and shops. The apartment looks recently refurbished and spacious enough for 4.
