Breakfast was fantastic, in fact all the food and drink was superb throughout my x3 day stay. The room (no 1) was very comfortable with a very individual, quirky design. The staff were also very helpful and friendly - thanks again!

I like Macclesfield because it is a pretty town with good links to Manchester if you need the big city, the Peak District if you like walking, and Buxton if you want a bit of culture. The town is of a manageable size with pretty parks, and it has various small events going on in the local pubs, plus each month there is the Treacle Market, which is a popular feature of Macclesfield.

I came for the silk museum and the Paradise Mill which I can recommend both. The Treacle Market on the last Sunday of the month was a good experience. The weather was sunny, but often was a chill strong wind, I missed a hat. It takes only 30 minutes to travel by train to Manchester, and about 2 hours to London. There are good restaurants and pubs! There are many places to take a nice walk in the nature of the surrounding area, but unfortunately I had to postpone them.

The Tytherington hotel is well worth a stay as they have a good Spa & pool. Another small hotel nearby is BoHotel & eatery, lovely. Free car parking available for the town centre too.

I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure. It is a small town where shops and restaurants generally close quite early.
I did not have anytime to do any sightseeing in the town or outside - so I cannot really comment about the place from a leisure point of view.

I wasn't a tourist oin this trip but visiting friends in an area I used to live in.
I ate at The Chilli Banana, a large Thai restaurant and had an enjoyable meal. Also used the Coffee Shop at Arighi Bianci both for coffee stop over and lunch and it's a good location - not only do you get to see the cream of household furnishings spread over mutliple floors, but this excellent cafe.
Lovely cosy cottage. The owners had left coffee, tea, milk, sugar, biscuits and tea cakes which was a really nice touch. The views from the back of property is lovely. The cottage was immaculately clean and smelt amazing. Bed was really comfortable and pillows were perfect for me. My favourite thing was the log burner. Just a lovely chilled weekend. We went to a concert in Manchester the first night and it was very expensive to stay in Manchester, so we stayed in Macclesfield and I'm glad we did. A little gem
Very convenient location - close to the town and train station - comfortable - and had everything I needed. Really appreciated the little touches like the different teas and a few bathroom products. Would definitely stay again and/or recommend to others.
The other thing was that were a couple of really very, very minor hiccups which I mention purely because of the speed (and cheerfulness) with which Nadine fixed them - and that is what really matters! So there was no impact on my stay.
This little static home was exactly what we needed. We came up to the area for a conference, so just needed beds and a shower, but we ended up with lovely comfy home for a few nights. Very clean and had everything we needed.
It allowed us to really wind down after our long days at the conference.
Location was a perfect walking distance from Alderly park and close enough to macclesfield.
Wonderful, beautiful rooms that feel like a home away from home. The bed was very comfortable, really wish I could stay longer just to enjoy the comfort of that! The host, Laura, is incredibly helpful, and friendly and will go above and beyond to accommodate you. Definitely not your conventional run-of-the-mill hotel stay.
Beautiful place to stay from entering the reception area greeted by wonderful staff extremely helpful with everything. Bedroom was spacious beds were so comfortable we didn’t want to get up! My so. (12yrs) and I will definitely be back. Hug thank you to all at Hollin House Hotel from Lesley-Anne & LD
The cottage had a lovely atmosphere, cosy and quiet. Clean, kitchen well stocked. Good location, about 15 mins walk into Macclesfield centre, but felt like you were in the countryside. Good base for exploring the area. Would recommend a visit to the silk museum and tour of Paradise Mill next door.
The apartment is in a great location and an easy walk to some good restaurants, a great bakery, and the train station. Nice, well equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean and in good shape. James could not have been a more thoughtful and welcoming host.
The Spa and leisure centre was lovely, used it every day of our stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the hotel was excellent. The hotel is near Macclesfield Forest which is a must-see if you’re interested in the outdoors.
We all really enjoyed our staff the staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel could do with some investment but overall it’s a very pleasant venue with amazing views of the Cheshire plains.
The breakfast was great. Freshly cooked and well presented. Staff were freindly and helpful. This is my second time and I will definitely be returning when I am in the area again. One of the best hotels I stay in.
Ideal location in the centre of Macclesfield. The host Karina was very good regarding instructions accessing the property. The room was very nice and the breakfast was excellent
The room was a decent size, clean and the shower was good. The hotel location suited us as we had spent the day at Tatton Park and were visiting the Peak District the day after.
