Everything was wonderful from check in to checkout. Was a little concerned after reading previous reviews but honestly couldn't have been happier.Room beautiful and clean .SPA exceptional. It was my birthday so the balloon and treat bag in the room was very much appreciated. Highly recommend and will definitely return. Many thanks.

Whilst the propery itself was nice - the rooms are very good and in general so are the staff. I have been going here since the 1980's but will not go any longer. whilst I moved form this area many years ago to the south - I go to this pub (mostly also staying there) several tiems a year. But definately not any longer.

I like Macclesfield because it is a pretty town with good links to Manchester if you need the big city, the Peak District if you like walking, and Buxton if you want a bit of culture. I came for the silk museum and the Paradise Mill which I can recommend both. The Treacle Market on the last Sunday of the month was a good experience. The weather was sunny, but often was a chill strong wind, I missed a hat. It takes only 30 minutes to travel by train to Manchester, and about 2 hours to London. There are good restaurants and pubs! There are many places to take a nice walk in the nature of the surrounding area, but unfortunately I had to postpone them.

A nice small town centre, a good choice of eateries & cafes, A couple of good ladies boutiques along with a lovely shop Rocco selling stylish boots & trainers. The Tytherington hotel is well worth a stay as they have a good Spa & pool. Another small hotel nearby is BoHotel & eatery, lovely. I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure. It is a small town where shops and restaurants generally close quite early. I wasn't a tourist oin this trip but visiting friends in an area I used to live in. I ate at The Chilli Banana, a large Thai restaurant and had an enjoyable meal. Also used the Coffee Shop at Arighi Bianci both for coffee stop over and lunch and it's a good location - not only do you get to see the cream of household furnishings spread over mutliple floors, but this excellent cafe.AnnetteUnited Kingdom

The views from the back of property is lovely. The cottage was immaculately clean and smelt amazing. Bed was really comfortable and pillows were perfect for me. My favourite thing was the log burner. Just a lovely chilled weekend. We went to a concert in Manchester the first night and it was very expensive to stay in Manchester, so we stayed in Macclesfield and I'm glad we did. A little gem
