Great things come in little packages.
From Sydney we recently planned a short getaway to Griffith and its surrounds for a few nights and we're always looking for something different for our stay and we found just that.
Our hosts Jen & Richard are two of the friendliest people we have met. They both warmly welcomed us into their beautifully appointed garden pods. We learnt alot from Richard about the property and its surrounds. Jen was super friendly and very helpful in letting us know of the nicest restaurants and attractions in the area.
Such a quiet and cosy location. We could not have asked for anything more.
The pods were very comfortable and every detail was considered. We absolutely loved walking through the beautiful gardens. The firepit, outdoor kitchen & BBQ area were perfect.
The breakfast was wonderful and the location couldn't better suit us during our stay.
We will be back for sure. Highly recommend. Thank you Jen & Richard.

The bathroom and in particular the shower were oustanding. The whole room was clean, new, smelt great, had up to date amenities. Heating was perfect for winter. Really good experience. Will definitely visit again.

The Grand was in a good location, we loved the price of the wine at the Exies club and the food and live music was excellent. The Grand needs some upgrades, the lift smelled, the hallways smelled, the rooms weren't the cleanest, the fan in our room was filthy. The shower head wouldn't stay up and apparently it was the same in other rooms. I wouldn't recommend staying here to others.

A surprisingly lovely, modern and large-ish regional town with access to more things to see than I originally gave it credit for. I only stayed a night on my return to Sydney from Adelaide but am now planning on returning for a longer duration.

We were in Griffith for a Clay Target Shooting competition and as our son is currently living in our caravan due to being homeless from the floods in Rochester we opted to still travel to this shoot and stay in a motel, Apart from eating at the Gun Club we also ate at one of the Hotels and the Leagues Club and enjoyed our meals and you can't go wrong with buying local produce...eg. oranges and mandarins and some lovely marmalade too. I also went shopping and picked up a couple of bargains :)

Griffith was great for food and alcohol - I was a little disappointed with the lack of dress shops and designer shops available - and I was hoping to find a yarn shop too - but no luck. Not to worry though - as we found out above the Italian Festival here each year so are planning to return another time.

Fantstic wineries and specialty farm produce providers.
Fantstic wineries and specialty farm produce providers. New Malt House but did not get a chance to go this trip. Also find out more about Griffith at the Pioneer Park (Recreation of the VIllage life) and Italian Museum.
Please be aware Griffith is a country town and as such, smaller stores do not stay open on Saturday afternoons (1:00pm to 2pm close) and most do not open on Sundays.
The shops in the Mall do stay open as does Woolworths and Kmart.
On Sunday, there are only a few cafes open for breakfast. However lunch and dinner options better with the Legues Club and Ex Servicesmens Club Bistros/Resturants open for lunch/dinner. Resturants in the Main Street need to be booked as they get quite busy.

Receptionist stayed an hour after her finish time to get me settled in. And she had her daughter with her, so the both of them had been put out. That is commendable in itself of course, but in the social media age, money in the bank. This above and beyond approach by staff is a huge plus for me personally and weary business travellers in general. Top shelf.
Lovely renovated hotel, nice toiletries though honestly very heavy on the 'masculine' notes and too strong for my nose(though why NZ made, find Aussie ones!)
Blue night light in bathroom was an excellent innovation.
Was a bit thrown by the note in the hotel compendium that the room was not for anything other than a hotel stay, all sounded a bit like there was a lot of criminal activities happening there.
Sarah was such an amazing host and so thoughtful. The beautiful gift basket was a lovely touch and the house itself absolutely stunning with plenty of space for our family of 7. The crystal clear pool and gardens was a highlight for the kids. And the separate lounge areas for kids was a blessing for the adults.
Highly recommended and will definitely consider staying here again next time we visit Griffith.
The beds were super comfy. The hotel is located on the main street and close to all shops/restaurants. There was a Punjabi festival on while we were there which was interesting to see. The staff were very friendly, and promptly called us when we had left behind some of our belongings, keen to assist us to have them returned.
We liked the spaciousnous & the cleanliness of the rooms....housekeeping should be comended.!!! The club next door was amazing. Wonderful staff, fabulous food....this was an absolute bonus. If we ever come back to Griffith, I will definately stay here & I would without a doubt recomend this to friends & family.
Our room was absolutely massive with comfortable beds and a sizable bathroom. The whole property was clean.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
This hotel was such great value that we have booked it again for our upcoming return stay.
it was a very nice quiet location, bbq facilities, pool was clean, walking distance to shops, about a 1.2 k walk from griffith station, motel room was very nice. wifi was provided however could only use on one device due to code being generated by staff other than that it was pleasant
We booked an upgraded spa room and it was huge for a hotel room which was great. We didn't use the spa however, we just wanted the extra seating and wiggle room. The grounds and blocks of rooms are well spread creating an open feeling definitely not being on top of others.
Great location right in the centre of Griffith. Easy walk to the main street. Well equipped room and everything worked well. Good sized room which included a Balcony. Suited our purpose for a 2 night stay. Also good to have off street parked secured by gates.
We stayed at the Gem Hotel, after being asked by Griff management. It was excellent from the on-site restaurant to the room, with the hotel perfectly placed in the city centre. The revamp of the hotel has been tastefully done.
I travelled b train so it was 2 blocks away and opposite a supermarket. It was an easy walk to all locations in the Griffith CBD. Bed and pillows were comfortable which is rare when travelling.
Excellent location just a short walk to the main street. The room was better than we expected and no traffic noise.
We will stay here again when we visit Griffith.
