Jen's Garden Pods, hotel in Griffith

Jen's Garden Pods is located in Griffith and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.

Great things come in little packages. From Sydney we recently planned a short getaway to Griffith and its surrounds for a few nights and we're always looking for something different for our stay and we found just that. Our hosts Jen & Richard are two of the friendliest people we have met. They both warmly welcomed us into their beautifully appointed garden pods. We learnt alot from Richard about the property and its surrounds. Jen was super friendly and very helpful in letting us know of the nicest restaurants and attractions in the area. Such a quiet and cosy location. We could not have asked for anything more. The pods were very comfortable and every detail was considered. We absolutely loved walking through the beautiful gardens. The firepit, outdoor kitchen & BBQ area were perfect. The breakfast was wonderful and the location couldn't better suit us during our stay. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend. Thank you Jen & Richard.

The Grand was in a good location, we loved the price of the wine at the Exies club and the food and live music was excellent. The Grand needs some upgrades, the lift smelled, the hallways smelled, the rooms weren't the cleanest, the fan in our room was filthy. The shower head wouldn't stay up and apparently it was the same in other rooms. I wouldn't recommend staying here to others.

A surprisingly lovely, modern and large-ish regional town with access to more things to see than I originally gave it credit for. I only stayed a night on my return to Sydney from Adelaide but am now planning on returning for a longer duration.

We were in Griffith for a Clay Target Shooting competition and as our son is currently living in our caravan due to being homeless from the floods in Rochester we opted to still travel to this shoot and stay in a motel, Apart from eating at the Gun Club we also ate at one of the Hotels and the Leagues Club and enjoyed our meals and you can't go wrong with buying local produce...eg. oranges and mandarins and some lovely marmalade too. I also went shopping and picked up a couple of bargains :)

Griffith was great for food and alcohol - I was a little disappointed with the lack of dress shops and designer shops available - and I was hoping to find a yarn shop too - but no luck. Not to worry though - as we found out above the Italian Festival here each year so are planning to return another time.

Fantstic wineries and specialty farm produce providers.

Fantstic wineries and specialty farm produce providers. New Malt House but did not get a chance to go this trip. Also find out more about Griffith at the Pioneer Park (Recreation of the VIllage life) and Italian Museum. Please be aware Griffith is a country town and as such, smaller stores do not stay open on Saturday afternoons (1:00pm to 2pm close) and most do not open on Sundays. The shops in the Mall do stay open as does Woolworths and Kmart. On Sunday, there are only a few cafes open for breakfast. However lunch and dinner options better with the Legues Club and Ex Servicesmens Club Bistros/Resturants open for lunch/dinner. Resturants in the Main Street need to be booked as they get quite busy.

Receptionist stayed an hour after her finish time to get me settled in. And she had her daughter with her, so the both of them had been put out. That is commendable in itself of course, but in the social media age, money in the bank. This above and beyond approach by staff is a huge plus for me personally and weary business travellers in general. Top shelf.

The hotel is gorgeous and would certainly be at home in any capital city. The cocktail bar and restaurant are classy and comfortable, and the food and drinks outstanding. This would be my #1 place to stay in the area and an absolute must, I'm sad I was only there for 1 night. Am already planning a return trip with friends!! The rooms were spotless, beds comfortable, gorgeous bathroom with excellent amenities, free water in the mini bar, and everything you need.

Good apartment hotel, stovetop ok, although with frying pan and kettle a little bit too small to fit both. Excellent selection of kitchen utensils, multiple knives, both small and big wine glasses, boxes to keep food in fridge, etc. Room and bathroom spacious. Also free public street parking possible. Woolworths supermarket just 800m away. Just visit cellar doors of local Riverina wineries and Woolworths for perfect self-catering
