Oyado Koto No Yume ligger blot 2 minutters gang fra Takayama Station og har farverige værelser i japansk stil, kildevandsbade, en restaurant der serverer morgenmad samt gratis wi-fi i hele bygningen. The staff was very welcoming, the rooms and common areas beautiful and traditionally Japanese. We had a wonderful experience staying at Oyado Koto No Yume!

An excellent experience beyond our expectations. The staff is extremely nice and friendly and always ready to help if needed. Try the Japanese breakfast! It is a unique experience.

Toraya ligger i Gero, 48 km fra Takayama Station og 49 km fra Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. Der er fælles opholdsstue og rolig gadeudsigt. Super nice, clean and cosy hotel with supportive staffs. Location is a bit far from station but very close to central area.

This accommodation is 400 years old and managed by the 15th generation now. The history is very special. Even the formal emperor staid at this accommodation. You can really experience the authentic Japanese life. Food was delicious, the best food we had in Japan untill now. We hear that the chef build his cooking skills at a Michelin star restaurant and that is what you see and taste at the food. When we arrived we were (as both having back problems) worried about the traditions futon beds, but this was no problem at all! Nice to do from here is the Nakasendo walk from Magome to Tsumago. The hotel helped us with a useful map and arrange a transfer for us to the starting point.

Shiroyamakan ligger i Shirakawa, 1,4 km fra Shirakawago, og har gratis wi-fi overalt. Der tilbydes gratis privat parkering på selve ejendommen. Hele ejendommen er røgfri. Definitely the highlight of our trip. Our stay was absolutely brilliant with great food, beautiful authentic room, onsen with amazing view, great food and the nicest staff.

Mozumo ligger i et roligt område i Gifu-regionen, ca. 52 minutters kørsel fra JR Takayama Station, og tilbyder varme kilder samt værelser med moderne japansk interiør. Lovely all the way through, the dinner set was the highlight and the staff extreme helpfull. Excelent for those who want a first experience with a Ryokan.

The staff is amazing, went above and beyond for us. We had a Japanese style room with a river view, it was great. The dinner was perfect, and so is the Onsen.

Yatsusankan ligger 6 minutters gang fra JR Hidokoukawa Station og tilbyder indkvartering i traditionel japansk stil med rummelige offentlige bade. This ryokan was gorgeous and a place you can really experience Japanese "omotenashi", the service was exceptional. We pulled up in our car to be greeted by someone to welcome us, take our bags, and park the car. We were led into a beautiful waiting room to fill out our paperwork and were given fresh matcha and sweets. Then we were given a lovely tour and found our bags waiting for us in the room, which was massive and beautifully decorated. The onsen was lovely and the relaxation room had free massage chairs to enjoy. The whole ryokan is traditionally decorated and so fun to explore as it seemed there were new rooms and hallways everywhere. The breakfast, both Japanese and western were also delicious. I highly recommend this Ryokan for their stellar service and relaxing atmosphere.
