Tagoto features a hot public bath, Japanese-style and Western rooms and Japanese cuisine, a 5-minute drive from Aizu Wakamatsu Station. This was a great experience in Japanese style and hospitality and we enjoyed it a lot. Needless to repeat what everybody says, the breakfast is great. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to stay for another night and treat us to a dinner.

17 km from Koriyama Station, Tabist Onsen Petit Hotel Yukori Bandai Atami is a recently renovated property located in Koriyama and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The room was big and very nice. There were extra blankets in the closet. The staff were all helpful and very kind. The location is near the station if you come by train. I went by car and there was lots of parking. The water available was great. Nice after a bath.

10 km from Nihonmatsu Station in Nihommatsu, mt. Inn(マウントイン） offers accommodation with access to a hot spring bath and public bath. This 2-star ryokan offers a 24-hour front desk and a lift. So friendly and helpful 😊 probably one of the nicest people we met in 🇯🇵 the Inn is located at scenic street and has a real mountain/(winter)sports vibe. Located near the famous Ebishu circuit. There is a iconic pub just diagonal across the street and the owner makes the best Gyoza and yakitori 🥟 the rooms are spacious and clean.

Boasting hot spring baths with mountain views, Kutsurogijyuku Chiyotaki is a 15-minute bus ride from JR Aizuwakamatsu Station. The room and the hotel are very clean. Our room is very big and comfort. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Nice spa (inside and outside) but we prefer the outside.

Featuring 4 hot spring baths with free flowing spring water, Kutsurogijyuku Shintaki offers accommodation located a 15-minute bus ride from JR Aizuwakamatsu Station. There are three bath options which all came with lovely views! Also, both meals were outstanding. Despite being a buffet service, the breakfast had abundant high quality options. I love that they really stuck to their theme of using Aizu ingredients - a proud hotel with pride for their local culture is something admirable.

Set in Aizuwakamatsu, 500 metres from Aizu Higashiyama Onsen, Onyado Toho features free WiFi access and free private parking. Everything. I went to complain that there were no pillow nor duvet covers but didn't realise we need to let them know we are ready so they can send a whole team to set up the beds. Very impressed.

Featuring an open-air bath and views of mountain, Shosuke-no-Yado Takinoyu is a ryokan situated in a historic building in Aizuwakamatsu, 3.4 km from Mount Iimori. Remote and peaceful place to stay. Onsen is nice. Good food and helpful staff

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Okawaso offers accommodation in Aizuwakamatsu, 13 km from Aizu Higashiyama Onsen. Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a TV. It’s a beautiful hotel nestled into the hillside by the river. The reception area is amazing, especially with the Shamisen lady is playing. The traditional rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.

Set in Machi-niwasaka, Ryokan Tamagoyu provides accommodation within 10 km of Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium. Excellent place to visit and enjoy a traditional Japanese Ryokan. Superb attention from the staff.
