Situated in Takeo, a 10-minute drive from JR Takeo-Onsen Station, Urari Takeo Garden Terrace Spa Resorts boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site.

Japanese-style cuisine is served at the on-site restaurant for dinner. Urari Takeo Garden Terrace Spa Resorts boasts a hot springs bath and an open-air bath. There is a souvenir shop on site.

I was hesitant to book this resort initially as there was only 1 recent review when I booked, and the older reviews of the original hotel were not that good. However, I decided to take a chance and I'm so glad I did!!! The resort is newly renovated and all the furnishings and decor are all very clean and new. The resort location was ideal as I wanted to be located near Mifuneyama Rakuen so I could go see the Autumn colours at night (only 6 min drive away). The facilities on the resort were fantastic.... the spa pool required swimsuits which the resort thoughtfully prepared for each guest, all packed in individual tote bags. The hot spring pool was a a bit small, but the resort was not packed when we stayed, so there were no other people around when we used the spa pool or hot spring. But what impressed me the most has to be the amazing service we received. Most of the staff did not speak English or could only speak minimal English, but they always tried their best to understand our needs, and made us feel so comfortable. The staff's dedication and service quality are top-notch. The food was so amazing as well (The sukiyaki dinner and Japanese breakfast included in the stay were so good!)

Ryokan Kyotoya is 2 minutes from JR Takeo Onsen Train Station via the hotel’s free shuttle. It features natural hot-spring baths and multi-course Japanese meals in an elegant classical setting.

Kyotoya Ryokan is located near the centre of Takeo City, just a 5-minute walk from Keishu-en Garden. It is an 8-minute walk from JR Takeo Onsen Train Station.

I like the authenticity of the building and deco. It has a lot historical value in this hotel.

The traditional house set up. 2 tatami rooms with 2 futon beds each.thw tatami beds were very comfortable. It's like an air bnb and the hosts were super helpful. I didn't even have to contact them upon arrival. They came down to greet us and were available for any question. They were very kind in suggesting places to see. It has an elevator as well, so it was great for luggage.

The accommodation is cosy, comfortable, well equipped and situated in good location next to Takeo Onsen Romon. The hosts are very friendly and helpful to provide sightseeing information. They are prompt to response and totally no barriers to communicate in English.

We had a lovely time at this country house. We would love to stay at least two days next time visiting. The house is in the middle of the rice field. In the morning you can have a walk around the field and forest, birds singing, surrounding is green and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious and presented really pretty by the host. After check in we drove to Takeo Onsen for a bath.

This onsen hotel only provides lodging without meals. There is no need for you to arrive early for dinner. The lobby is well decorated with old items particularly the old gramophone. The gramophone is played by the staff in the morning with records made of brass (?) but not vinyl and the music is still good. You can enjoy a cup of coffee, free of charge, while listening to the music. The staff will let you have a try to turn the handle of the gramophone. The room is spacious and futon is comfortable.

I choosed a tatami room with private bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. Besides the great Onsen the lobby is a big highlight. It's like a museum, you really want to spend time in it. To my biggest surprise the owner spoke German. She took some time and showed me around. The still working gramophone is amazing. Kyotoya is in walking distance from the train station.
