Lesnaya Skazka Mountain Resort is set in a quiet area of the Ile-Alatau National Park, 7 km from Besqaynar and a 35-minute drive from Almaty. The staff at the resort are super helpful and there are quite a few who spoke English (which we needed as international travellers). There is so many things to do and the trip up the cable car gives wonderful views. Had some great food too - portions big so we ate far too much. We stayed in a tree house, brilliant but a few steps to climb. They helped pre-book a cab from the airport for us that was good value too.
