Awesome well priced accommodation! Had zero expectations but was very impressed by the property, friendly service and bathing areas. Excellent base for day trips out to the surrounding ski resorts. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommended!
Modern architecture (like a ski resort) and gorgeous huge room was a pleasant change from our other hotels in japan
Luxury beds & pillows! Staff super friendly On site shop with wine, food etc & coffee machine
decent place, good value for nikko. wouldn’t expect luxury, but definitely good budget accom
OUR ROOMS WERE SPECTACULAR! IT HAD THE PERFECT MOUNTAIN VIEW THAT LOOKED LIKE A PAINTED CANVASS. IT WAS SO GOOD! THE ROOMS WERE ALSO SO SPACIOUS AND IT WAS VERY ACCESSIBLE TO HUNTER MOUNTAIN SKI RESORT WHICH IS WHAT WE WERE AIMING FOR. WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK.
Best location near Shinkyou (means God Bridge which is Japanese Important Cultural Property) and world heritage Toshougu Shrine area in walking distance. Also the hotel is one of historical facility in Japan where many famous people were visited including Japanese Emperor and famous foreigners. People who dislike old fashioned style hotel but modern hotel, I don't recommend. This hotel is a traditional hotel not recent " hotel & resorts".
