The decision to give 10 points has never been easier. We found this place to be the ideal home base for exploring Kovalam and Trivandrum. And here is why: 1. It is situated close, but not too close to the city and within a short tuctuc ride from the beach. 2. The property is beautiful and the rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. 3. The entire staff (front desk, housekeeping, security guard, restaurant staff, as well as the drivers, ayur veda specialist and yoga teacher they work with) is extremely friendly and helpful. They really made us feel at home. 4. The food… is just something else. We can’t wait to come back simply because we weren’t able to sample the entire menu! Everything we had was delicious and fresh. Many of the fruit and veg are grown right on the property. We had never been to Kerala - or indeed India - before. We will definitely be back because we fell in love with the area and the food and the people. This is in large part thanks to the Amara experience. ❤️

I loved everything about this retreat. The setting was incredibly relaxing, with stunning gardens, two pools, a private beach, and a wonderful room. The staff were always smiling apart from the reception staff. Excellent laundry service at a reasonable price was offered. Restaurant meals and the dining room setting were fabulous. Massage services out of this world.

I enjoyed every single moment of my four night stay at The Travancore Heritage. They are master of hospitality and you feel immediately welcomed by the female reception staff. The property is very large, plenty of space, beautifully maintained. Wonderful gardens, easy to stroll around, with fantastic beach views. They have 2 restaurants, with a wonderful selection of food choices, the chef and his team take care of your every need. I managed to squeeze in a few Ayurveda treatments, (only due to they were fully booked), the best I have received in India. The top swimming pool was very clean and lovely to chill out on the day beds after a day of sightseeing, location easy to walk to beach, local shops (good shopping), temples and church. You will need a tut tuk to visit lighthouse and town, just walk outside the resort and they will help you out. The other pool is for families and children. Their is activities to do if you like and a short walk to the beach, the lifeguards are wonderful and set up your day beds for you, great location for sunset! My room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable and I loved the balcony that I could view the ocean from, the staff even left me towel animals. A special shout out to Annie for going above and beyond, her kindness is a gift! You could easily stay here for a week, I highly recommend booking your stay here.

Amazing serene location with a beautiful swimming pool overlooking the beach and a good private beach. Nestled in the midst of a lot of greenery. The place is extremely relaxing and the staff are very friendly. The place also has a very homely feel with beautiful private cottages rather than the usual hotel feel which I preferred over Leela Kovalam. Overall absolutely loved it and will definitely recommend!

The pool was amazing, the staff very helpfull and the food excellent. The beach and sea are clean and nearby with a lot of very friendly lifeguards. We would definitely recommand this place.

The property is very huge and well maintained . My 4 years old son was very happy with the indoor activities. The checkin process was very easy and Siddharth handled it very professionally. The staff were extremely kind and taken very good care of me and my family. Though , i had a personal medical requirement, the staff were very attentive and made sure i have got the medicines and care as required. I thank the entire team especially Mr.Shadab , Mr. Mohammed Tousef, Mr. Shiva who constantly followed up with me...They have also helped me to extend my stay and offered all the required support as a family.
