Situated in Loerie, 53 km from Port Elizabeth, Intle Game Lodge features a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the sea. Jeffreys Bay is 27 km from the property. This place is spectacular! I arrived as a solo traveler but I'm already planning to return with my husband and friends next time. The staff go above and beyond – from welcoming you with a drink to offering advice for a walk. The staff clearly like to make their guests happy and they were so fun to talk with! Dinner was exceptional; it was the best meal I had in South Africa. The menu has many courses and options to choose from. The kitchen accommodated by dietary restrictions without question – thank you! I highly recommend going for a late afternoon/dusk stroll and sunrise walk. It is safe; the animals keep a healthy distance. I saw impalas, blue wilderbeest, giraffes, and zebras on my walks. There is a great 5km roundtrip walk to a viewing platform on the back of the property - amazing views of the river and valley area at sunset. At sunrise, most of the animals were gathered on the front lawn. Other things you can do on the property: Take a dip in the infinity pool, sun bathe on the deck, request a drive of the property if you don't prefer to walk, read some books (they have many on wildlife and the history and culture of SA), sit by the fire, enjoy the cigar lounge, order a drink at the bar (it seems to have everything and you can ask for a drink anytime) and sit outside by the firepit. I wish I stayed for several more days to do it all!

The property is well designed , very comfortable room , eco friendly amenities The staff was very professional The dinner at the restaurant was extremely good We loved everything about this hotel and we will send our friends. The réceptionniste upgraded us as soon as heard it’s our anniversary and sent a bottle of champagne to our room , thank you for the gesture.

As soon as you drive into the De Opstal property you sense this is a different kind of place. The owners don’t just DO hospitality as a means to an end; they ARE hospitality embodied. It feels like it’s their life’s mission. De Opstal’s old charm accommodations are surrounded by magnificent flower gardens, fruit trees, and fields that are not over-manicured, rather reflective of the owners’ true love of nature and deep desire to create an environment for their guests that engages all their senses. The only downside was having to leave this slice of paradise.

Nestled at the foot of the Langeberg Mountain Range and surrounded by wineries, The Vineyard Country House features an outdoor pool, a sun terrace and patios overlooking the garden. This stay is among the most memorable and enjoyable we've ever had. The hostess was welcoming and resourceful, particularly during the storm and flood on the 25th of September. When all around us was chaos and closure, she graciously allowed us to stay with her, providing a safe harbor. The owner also personally prepares breakfast for her guests, serving a delicious array of options including yogurt, orange juice, fresh fruits, and a choice of warm breakfast dishes. Her personal touch, combined with the estate's harmonious blend of traditional charm and modern amenities, such as the pool, created an ambiance of homely hospitality, making our stay utterly delightful and remarkable. The estate itself, rich in quaint, traditional elegance, yet modernly equipped, felt like a warm, welcoming home, ensuring a splendid stay for us.

Surrounded by breathtaking mountains and conveniently located in the center of Tulbagh, this boutique heritage hotel features a restaurant, tapas, and wine bar, spa, conference center, private... The service was exceptional. All facilities were well kept and clean. Staff were extremely courteous and attentive. Meals were well presented and delicious. Made it easy to get to the wedding in Wolseley. Despite being in town there were no loiterers, and we could enjoy our meals on the terrace. It was well worth staying an extra night,

Located within 7 km of Rooiberg Wine Cellars. Olive Hill Guest House is let as a unit offering 4 air conditioned en-suite rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining room. Amazing nature and views, secluded place. Very clean and well equipped house. Nice fireplace to sit by the fire at night

Fantastic setting at the end of the valley. Wonderful views over the vineyards with the mountains in the back. it's really nice to eat on the terrace like this. The personnel is really friendly and will always be willing to help out. The wines are fantastic and the food is decent. It's a lovely spot to wind down and recharge. The rooms are really spacious and have warm atmosphere. We loved the shower with double shower heads.
