Located at the Paul Kruger Gate to the Kruger National Park, Kruger Gate Hotel is situated on the banks of the Sabie River. The location which was right on the Sabie River and at the Paul Kruger gate. Very practical to start the safari at 5am. The room was incredibly beautiful and comfortable. Extremely clean as well. The lounge, lobby, restaurant, beautifully decorated, warm and cosy. Breakfast and Dinner were delicious. Good variety of salads, soup, meat, desserts. Friendly staff. Impeccable arrangements for packed breakfast when going on the safari. The hotel (Mrs. Sarah Watson) made arrangements to pick us up from our Hotel in Joburg. Ruphas our driver from Muzi Safari Tour was the best driver ever. The 7 hour drive felt like a vacation in itself and a guided tour. We requested to have the same driver for our trip back to Joburg airport. Felt very safe and in good hands.

Whats not to like? A beautiful friendly little town nestled...
Whats not to like? A beautiful friendly little town nestled in the Mpumalanga which is easy to get around. Our main reason for choosing Dullstroom was to be able to do high altitude cycling and running. Sadly, not much got done as I took a tumble from the bike on my first day which prevented further training. The experience was not ruined however as we got to spend more time doing the touristy stuff. Some must do's: Whisky and chocolate pairing at Wild about Whiskey - the best thing that you can do to either chocolate or whiskey. Coffee tasting at Beans about coffee, beer tasting at the Anvil. The little things that I loved - once staying in the town, walking around is easy and safe. The town is also animal friendly - many establishments have resident dogs and cats and water is offered to pets of tourists. One for the bucket list.

Very close to Kruger Park. Easy to get in and out of park. Had self catering chalet which was very good. Had everything needed for a long week end breakaway. Weather is always nice in Mpumalanga low veld.

Machadodorp don't have anything but it is central to other attractions. We ate at Millys Restaurant on the N4 (Machadodorp, Mpumalanga) which was really special 3km from Old Mill Hotel.

If only Province of Mpumalanga can do something about the state of the roads, because they are bad full of potholes. For starters the area (Malelane) is safe and very clean, we enjoyed our visit to the Kruger National Park. We also managed to visit the botanical gardens a very beautiful place. We had breakfast at Belvedere-on River, then lunch we had at the restaurant at Kruger Park, dinner we ate at Wimpy - Malelane. It was easy for us to get around because we were using the navigator. Young couples will enjoy swimming and golfing to mention just a few of the activities that are available in the area

I've been around the world but Mpumalanga has a special place in my heart. Traveling to mpumalanga by car gives you the opportunity to experience the beautiful landscape of our country and nature side. Mpumalanga is a very friendly province and Nelspruit being its city its got everything accessible at every corner, from markets, restaurants, shops and great hotels like Chill Pepper. Mpumalanga is one of those places you would want to do it over and over and over again with so much to do, and don't forget your passport because you might be tempted to do Swaziland or Mozambique at any chance.

Nice small town. Ideal if you want to travel around Mpumalanga to places such as God's Window, Kruger National Park, etc. Transport - You do need to hire a car as there is not a lot of public transportation. food - easy to get fresh fish dishes. We ate at Adega and Two Oceans restaurant when we there. The food was good.

The property is beautiful and well kept - I like its overall set-up, the pools, the view of the river from the restaurant, its location is also ideal to explore key Mpumalanga tourist attractions. Watching crocodiles and hippos at a stone throw distance was also magical. We were lucky on our last day to see the 5 elephants from Elephant Whispers strolling across the river.

As you can already see from the pictures, the place is simply stunning .. What we can add to that is that the attention to detail is on point, food is exquisite and service is world class. Dirk, as front of house, the chef and the staff all massively exceed expectations, leading us to very much agree with some of the reviews we read before visiting - namely that having visited many many places around the world, this one ranks at the very top!!

Amazing location! Quiet, beautiful, with loving staff always available to accommodate our needs! We would wake up and go to sleep looking at the river and hippos! During the day we had visitors by the pool and were able to enjoy the beautiful sunny days at the pool. game drives were amazing! Will definitely return and bring friends and family!

Everything!!! The place is just amazing with beautiful views and great stuff. it is a bit secluded which can lead to one getting lost but trust me once you get to the destination you forget all about that because of how beautiful the place is. Godfrey is such an amazing hostess, he was calling us all the way trying to ensure that we rich our destination safely. We even made fun about gravel road that we got lost to and I how stubborn I was when He told me to use another route. The receptionist was also phenomenal, he prepared us our take away breakfast as we were needed to be out very early for our adventure. The place is suitable for people who just want to relax and enjoy each others company and that is exactly what we did as there are no TV's in the bed room and also the network is not that strong.

This is an amazing place. The staff is awesome and there is lots to do here. We had a wonderful stay with hikes, relaxing and good food. The location is perfect, and if one of your days turns into a rainy day, no worries as there is plenty to do at the resort.
