Situated between the Outeniqua Mountains and Mossel Bay, Garden Route Safari Camp boutique-style accommodation in a malaria-free area. Family run safari camp with hands on owners who love conservation and take great pride in the excellence of their guides. The guides were very knowledgeable and a special shout out to Abram who is wise beyond his years. We saw great wildlife up close and personal whilst still feeling totally safe. We did both a driven safari and a walking guided safari - both were excellent and memorable. The lodge was very special and Mare, a hand reared antelope, hangs out near the lodge, which is delightful.

Built in 1846, this elegant hotel is a 5-minute walk from Santos beach and overlooks Mossel Bay Harbour. It offers a terrace and a pool, both with Indian Ocean views. Good breakfast. Free gin tasting. Small pool. Ate at La Peron across road. Good food. Quick pit stop so only got quick look at beach. Walked down by harbour. Nice bars and restaurants. Zipping close by and shark cage diving. Both worth a visit!
