We went for a family wedding and most of the wedding party stayed in Fordoun's various accommodations (the self catering, the hotel rooms and the extra special rooms 19 - 23). The setting is very special - converted stone farm sheds, several dams, huge trees that actually do autumn. Staff were incredibly friendly and flexible eg staying up after 11 to give us hot chocolate in front of the fire. As a wedding venue it is ideal - we had a serious cricket match at the proper pitch in front of the reception hall, a great way to bring a large group together the day before the wedding. The chapel had views onto the mountains. A very lovely space to walk around day or night.

The place was amazing! The staff was super! Food superb especially breakfast! The linen, wanted to sleep forever. The brewery!!!

Situated within 12 km from Mooi River, surrounded by meadows, Midlands Saddle and Trout offers an array of activities from fishing, mini golf and horse riding. The rooms were really nice and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Nottingham Road Hotel is a historical landmark known as Notties by many generations of locals. It is situated in the village of Nottingham Road, in the heart of the Midlands Meander. What a fantastic place to stay over. Love the old world pub still as good as years ago when we visited. Cosy atmosphere with locals and guests relaxing over a beer !! Rooms refurbished very nicely. Grounds excellent. Most of all - the staff are fantastic very friendly welcoming and helpful. Particularly Debbie, Happy and Tyrone. They went out of the way to make sure we were comfortable even though having to look after our little puppy over meals. Reception was quick and fast and the room was ready even though we were early !! Dog-friendly a big bonus. Will definitely stay there again soon.

Ubytovanie 3 Rawdons Estate sa nachádza 18 km od miesta Bosch Hoek Golf Club a 38 km od miesta Midmar Dam. Ponúka bezplatné Wi-Fi a bar. I loved the cleanliness and neatness. The electric blankets and fire wood were a wonderful addition even though we did not need it. The apartment is within walking distance to the nearby restaurant.

Couldn't fault this beautiful place, Andrew was so welcoming on arrival, his hospitality was second to none. Absolutely loved hearing of the local area and recommendations of where to visit and they didn't disappoint. The rooms are located in a beautiful courtyard with the most homely vibes, we settled into our stay within minutes. The pictures of this beautiful place do not do it any justice. Highly recommend staying here

Ubytovanie Springvale Farm sa nachádza v destinácii Nottingham Road v oblasti KwaZulu-Natal 21 km od miesta Fort Nottingham Museum. This was an unexpected stay in the area after car troubles but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! We stumbled on this farm in a panicky effort to find pet-friendly accommodation and I still can't believe our good fortune. The farm, and everyone on it, are fantastic. We were looking for a room for 1 night and ended up staying a lot longer. The cottages are incredibly comfortable, spacious, spotless, thoughtfully decorated and well kitted out in all rooms - the electric blankets, log fires, hot tub and freshly baked bread were amazing! There is plenty of space for the family, friends and furbabies. The setting is pretty spectacular - what a beautiful part of the world - and there are plenty of things to do within the property including fishing, hiking and birdwatching. Take the time to find the cranes, they're beautiful! A very big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make our stay so special. Deborah, in particular, was fantastic and really saved the day, I cannot speak highly enough of her and everything she has done for us - it is so encouraging to know that there are such kind people in this world, who will drop everything to come and rescue complete strangers. Do yourself a favour and book one of the cottages, it is 100% worth it!!
