They have a room which you can use if you are an early check-in or late check-out, which is very nice of their side (even had some water and snacks for night train). The pool and the view are great. Close to city by 5 min bike (which they give for free) and close to Buffalo Cave and other biking roads (the road to Bird Valley is sooo beautiful).

Beautiful renovated family property owned by Dinh’s grandfather. They worked so hard to renovate and convert it into a hotel from 2019. Serene and beautiful garden surrounding the rooms. Quiet. Away from the main streets and just so relaxing to sit in and unwind. The beds are super comfortable, great hot shower with good power, very clean. Beautifully furnished. An incredibly steal, we couldn’t believe the price. LASTLY, and most importantly, Dinh and his mother (Thom) are wonderful hosts. They made us feel so welcome. They let us stay on the last day as we had a train at 11PM all day in their property, let us use the shower and provided towels and shower gel and then invited us to have dinner with him and his mum. It was so special and really made our trip to Vietnam. This has been our favourite place to stay, I’ll remember them for the memories! Also( the food was the best we had in ninh BINH as the restaurants are so touristy. The crab noodle soup for breakfast is a must! His uncle has been making the broth for years so they buy it from him. All the herbs, eggs and fruit are from their own garden!

The scenery is beautiful, rooms were super comfy, and hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating! The food was also delicious and so convenient being right on the property. The free bikes could get you anywhere you needed to go, plus they had motorcycles for rent too. The property is the perfect location, super quiet and in nature with adorable little goats, but only 5 minutes bike to restaurants and 10-15 to both Trang An and Tam Coc boat tours. We highly recommend!

The staff was very helpful and accomodating throughout our stay. The breakfast had multiple choices of vietnamese foods, fruits, toast and an omelet station. The pool is inside the hotel on the ground floor and looked amazing. The hotel offers free bikes that you can grab whenever. The main street is just a 3 minute walk away.

Alright so I'm a bit ambivalent about Ninh Binh.
Alright so I'm a bit ambivalent about Ninh Binh. Its basically breaks down to two main plus/negative sides, which are: + really beautiful nature - exploitive attitude towards tourists. I can recommend it if you can find a seclusive place to stay close to scenery/nature, and you are fine with not being too dependent on service, because its hard to come by. The two things we did were doing the climb of Hang Mua which is an amazing mountain view. And we did the Tam Coc river by boat thing. The latter is just ridiculous in price, 120k per entrance fee, but you gotta rent boat for 150k (whats the point of entrance fee if u dont have a boat??). And during the ride they are pushy to make u buy things, buy beer for your boat-driver, and at the end the driver wants tips. Mountain was more spectacular and cheaper. Overall: I actually enjoyed the two nights of seclusion and hanging out in a hammock with a beautiful view after I came to terms with what to expect.
