Just steps away from the famed shopping, dining and entertainment on the Magnificent Mile, this historic hotel is located in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood and features a rooftop bar and lounge... The service and the people were absolutely amazing , I can say say without a doubt that was the best customer service we have ever received !!!!!!! But I would like to point out 3 people that just blew my mind and they went above and beyond unfortunate I don’t remember their names . I was a beautiful african American lady at the service desk and two Hispanic gentlemen , one that helped us with the suitcases and the other with our vehicle . I am German and American service has always been a bit superficial to me but these three people were so sincere in their service and friendliness it was just absolutely amazing . Please extend my deepest gratitude and thank u for being a part in our vacation .

I wasn't happy with the room I was originally allocated, but the receptionist listened to my concerns and moved me to what turned out to be a perfect room that totally exceeded my expectations. I had a corner room, so double aspect windows and a view of the L line and beyond that the Chicago skyline. Yes I could hear the trains, but I loved that (they weren't super loud so didn't disturb my sleep) There was a reasonable selection of vegetarian options available at the breakfast buffet, which set me up for the day. The L station was only a 10 minute walk away, and only a 10-15 minute journey into the centre of Chicago. Lots of places to eat out, including a fabulous vegetarian restaurant "The Veggie House".

La cittadina è interessante per chi voglia scoprire Abramo Lincoln ed il suo contesto storico (andate anche a Lincoln). E' stato interessante visitare il parlamento (Springfield è la capitale dell'Illinois e non Chicago). E non dimenticate che a un'ora di macchina c'è Spoon River (Lewistown) con il suo celeberrimo cimitero che contiene gran parte delle tombe degli eroi dell'Antologia di Edgar Lee Master.
