Conviene muoversi presto al mattino per arrivare al Visitor center di Mesa Verde in tempo per prenotare la visita con ranger a Cliff Palace o Balcony House,; l' acquisto dei biglietti può essere fatto anche la sera prima a Cortez, però prima delle 18.00 al Welcome Colorado Center in main street.

Da visitare assolutamente i garden of the gods, spettacolo puro e pure gratuito. Da Colorado Sp. si puo salire verso Beever Creek, Vail, Brekenridge e Copper Mountain strade bellissime e panorami mozzafiato!

Si tratta di un piccolo centro pieno di motel e ristoranti...
Si tratta di un piccolo centro pieno di motel e ristoranti dove, tra l'altro, si mangia molto bene. Da Cortez è possibile raggiungere in poco tempo Mesa Verde e con un viaggio un po' più lungo Durango ( dove è possibile prendere il famoso treno a carbone per Silverton) oppure il Four Corner, il punto dove confinano quattro stati ( Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico e Utah). Trovandosi in una posizione strategica, è il punto ideale per un soggiorno di una notte.

Breckenridge è una località sciistica rinomata del Colorado. Visitate la strada principale piena di negozi caratteristici e fate qualche escursione, il paesaggio merita parecchio. Colazione o cena consigliata da Blue Moose.

Denver non è granché se paragonata alle altre grandi città americane. Un pomeriggio è sufficiente per visitarla: shops, ristoranti e poco altro; tuttavia è un'ottima base per scoprire parte del Colorado: vicina all'ingresso delle Rocky Mountains, delle Seven Falls, non troppo lontana dalle Great sand dunes o da Hanging lake...

La città in se è graziosa. Anche se è la capitale del Colorado non è molto grande. L'aspetto che non mi è piaciuto è la spropositata presenza di senza tetto presenti in ogni angolo della città.

Montrose ha 2 meriti.
Montrose ha 2 meriti... 1) è vicinissima al Black Canyon of the Gunnison, posto stupendo, oltre ogni immaginazione 2) c'è la Horsefly Brewing Company, col suo flyer da 5 birre da degustazione e dell'ottimo cibo. Per il resto, è una classica, piccola cittadina del Colorado.
