The staff was magnificent, kind, and attentive. The facilities are new and beautiful. The pool was perfect to relax in and cool off. The location is centrally located, we even walked to and from the airport. They called for transportation to scuba diving and whale shark tours. The food was excellent and plentiful. We ate all our meals there for 6 days. And the staff was wonderful. All 5 of us in our group, after a month of traveling, highly recommend Mafia Dream

Lovely small property with very personal service, really great standard of accommodation, big room, great shower, nice pool, extremely accommodating staff. Excellent overall. Dive equipment is new and dive service also excellent.

Beautiful bungalows with a huge garden directly in front of the beach. All the bungalows have a big glass front where you can see the garden and at some locations the beach. Incredibly nice staff - try to help and accommodate wherever they can. Could change the room without problems as I needed AC to be able to sleep (March can be incredibly hot and humid). Even came back to the hotel after diving on the other side of the island. Everything seems a bit rustic as first but you will definitely fall in love with it. There is a really really nice gift shop with handicrafts on site - really nice woman from the village, definitely one to support. The locations to the beach is super close and to the left there are two more hotels you can go for dinner or a drink. People all know each other on Mafia and help you with everything! :) Breakfast is great!

The staff was amazing, very hospitable and took care of everything. Breakfast and dinner was great, they have a really great chef and attentive personnel. They also rented us bikes for free, such that we could drive to the dive shop (~10 minutes by bike). Great and inexpensive stay!

Ali and his team provided superior service catering to our every need, whether it was last minute activity, transport or meal request. Super welcoming team doing their utmost to make us feel at home.

Kitu Kiblu is a little gem in Kilindoni, only 5 minutes from the airstrip. The lodge is completely immersed in nature, with direct access to the ocean and a breathtaking view. The atmosphere is more of a family than an accommodation facility: you feel right away at ease with everyone, and you can immediately switch your brain off and take away any sort of stress that you carry on your shoulders. If you want, you can also organise an encounter with the whale sharks in a responsible and organized manner. I left a piece of heart in Kitu Kiblu and I'll definitely come back.

Set within 6.6 km of Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve in Kilindoni, Mgeni Homestay features accommodation with seating area. My husband and I had a pleasant stay. The room and bathroom look exactly like in the pictures - very spacious and clean. Bunda is very kind and friendly. He prepared a very fresh and abundant breakfast for us every morning at the time we agreed upon. One day he accompanied us to the beach. The beach, airport, and city center are very close, easily and safely accessible on foot, as well as by tuk-tuk or boda-boda. Ali - the owner is also very nice and honest. He responded to all our requests very promptly. He advised us not to book the whale sharks tour until someone assures us that they have been seen the previous day.
