Well I think I may have found the perfect hotel!! The room, food, decor, location, atmosphere, all spot on! but what really made this place great was the staff, all so kind and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and everything done with a smile. We are a charity and couldn't have achieved our mission on Santa Maria without the help of the amazing Sophia, an absolute credit to Charming Blue, thank you so much from all the team and crew at The Maiden Factor. I can't wait to come back!!

Very quiet and spacious hotel. Restaurant on site. Comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Relaxing atmosphere. A very good base for exploring the island of Santa Maria

This 4-star hotel is situated close to Vila do Porto, a 10-minute drive from the airport, the mountain and the beach of Praia Formosa. Bardzo dobra kawa. Możliwość spożywania posiłku na zewnątrz, obok basenu. Z dużego tarasu w apartamencie (wyjście z salonu i sypialni) widać było ocean. Duży aneks kuchenny ze stołem i krzesłami, schowany w zagłębieniu, co oddzielało go trochę od salonu (na plus). Lokalizacja jest korzystna - trochę ponad 2 km od oceanu, w pobliżu głównej drogi (której jednak właściwie nie słychać) i niedaleko centrum. Jest naprawdę cicho, w nocy słychać świerszcze. Dobrze jest mieć samochód lub rower (można wypożyczyć rower w mieście, ok. 15 euro za dzień)

If you're looking for a place that's kind of isolated on your own hill top in the middle of nowhere, yet just up the hill from a small town with a great restaurant, look no further. Awesome sunrise when you wake up in the morning. Beautiful stars at night.

Obiekt Casa dos Valentes położony jest w miejscowości Santo Espírito w regionie Santa Maria i oferuje patio. It was so peaceful and the house had everything we needed. We loved hearing the rural sounds, and the place was so easy to find. We were greeted as we drove up the driveway and check in was seamless. When we opened the door, we were greeted with a loaf of homemade bread, cookies, and jam from the Cooperative Bakery up the street along with milk and a large bottle of water. We cooked breakfast every morning, and when we weren’t out exploring, we enjoyed sitting on the front patio and watching the nearby cows and sheep grazing. And, given the size of the island (and the time of year we visited), we didn’t have any problem driving to Vila do Porto for more restaurant options (it was only 20 minutes away). However, we did enjoy our late morning coffee in one of the bars in the village of Santo Espirito.
