Luz del Titicaca Lodge erbjuder boende i Puno, 5,9 km från Enrique Torres Belon stadion och 5,9 km från Puno Port. We stayed for 1 night at the king suite and we loved every moment of it. We only wished we had more time there. The owners, Joel and Luz, are amazing hosts! He took good care of us showing us around the Uros islands and explaining his culture. Don’t expect luxury when you are staying at a lodge, the luxury is the location itself. The absolute highlight of our stay is when Joel was returning us with his boat to Puno after the sunset and he literally made a bed with blankets and duvets for us to lie down and enjoy the ride while we were observing the Milky Way! Loved every moment of our stay!

Only 50 metres from Puno’s Main Square, Tierra Viva Puno Plaza offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and plasma TVs. The Cathedral and Jiron Lima Main Street are 50 metres away. the room was nice, comfortable bed and great shower. staff are very nice and helpful, the the best was that they let us check in at 6am after our night bus because they’ve had the room ready. the breakfast was good and the location is exactly in the centre (but quite). will definitely recommend to stay here.

The typical boat tour was super interesting and de textile workshop was interesting, but a little expensive for what it contains. The food Elsa cooked was amazing and delicious. The room was better than expected. The view is great and the beds are comfortable.

This was one of the best trips that we did while we were in Peru, the rooms are quite big, they're very nice and clean. When we were there, it wasn't extremely cold, so we were fine with all the blankets we had in the rooms. Eder is a very good host. He runs the hotel with his family. He took us to show how they lived and what they ate. He also took us to see the community of the Uros islands, told us about their history, what they have been through, and they're going through as Uros people. He was so nice and kind like the rest of his family. The food... we ate one of the best fish (trucha) that we have ever eaten in our lives. My sister doesn't like fish, and even she didn't even leave a single piece on her plate. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and all of them were very, very good. We were very satisfied with our stay.

Titicacasjön
Enda anledningen till att åka till Puno är att ge sig ut på Titicacasjön. En 3-timmarstripp till Uros kan rekommenderas.

It was very touristic and kind of a boring place. However, the people were very nice and service minded which was great. The people was the best thing with Puno. I would go to the Bolivian side instead to visit Lake Titicaca - it was nicer and warmer.

Litet och hemtrevligt!
Litet och hemtrevligt! Skönt och lugnt tempo i staden som man lätt vande sig vid. Billigt med taxi men även små avstånd så det går bra att gå dit du ska. Mycket pizzerior. Det var häftigt att åka ut till de flyande öarna. Lätt att ta sig till och från Puno med buss.

Don´t miss the floating islands and Amantani island.
Don´t miss the floating islands and Amantani island. We stayed at a host family in a simple room with shared bathroom but it was very cosy and nice. The Amantani island is bout 2,5 hours from Puno and people in the island are very kind and welcomes you at their homes and at the evening they provide a 1-2h party for tourists where you get the chance to try the local clothing and listen to beautiful I've Peruvian songs and dance. At night it´s very cold but once you see the stars your body fills with a hot harmony and you can just stare at stars for hours cause it´s mind blowing. At the dock station in Puno you can also visit the markets for good shopping and restaurants.

Det finns egentligen inte något speciellt att se förutom Urosfolket på vassöarna. Bra läge när man ska ta sig vidare. Det var lätt att hitta i Puno. Svårt att hitta inhemska restauranger, men jag drack en jättegod pisko.

We mainly stayed in Puno for the sake of Lake Titicaca. Quiet and cozy little city, we felt safe walking the streets in the evening and there were some good restaurants in the city center.
