This is an exceptional boutique resort. From the pared back but exceptionally comfortable rooms, to the delicious food in the restaurant, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Staff in particular couldn't do enough and were so genuine, helpful and full of smiles. Surrounded by coconut trees, it feels like you're miles away from the bustle of Ahangama centre, yet you'll reach the beach within a couple of minutes' walk, and can take a tuk tuk to the main street of Ahangama in a few minutes. That's if you want to leave - the pool is heavenly and it's so easy to just potter back and forth between it and your room, as all of them are set around it. You can tell a lot of care and thought went into the design of this resort, with furnishings made locally, and high quality finishes all round.

This place is a gem, completely exceeded expectations. The room is huge, very clean and the complex is beautiful. Amazing breakfasts, and staff were fantastic. We are hoping to come back again before the end of our trip.

Room and the bathroom was very clean and very comfortable. It had all the amenities which has any star rated hotel would have. Spacious and cozy. Bathroom had a bathtub with a jacuzzi facility. Samodaya, the care taker cum manager took care of all the needs we wanted without a trouble. Breakfast was really good. More than what we expected. We met the owners as well. Very humble and polite. Very reasonable with the price as well. Overall, very good place to stay, work, or leisure. Highly recommend place.

Sun, surfing and some party
The Narigama beach offers great beach bars but is not too busy or crowded. Surfing is also highly recommended on the beatiful beach. The Galle road runs through the place so expect loud traffic and look a room a little bit away from the road.

Unawatuna has great beaches and nature, but kind of... nothing else. It'snevertheless easy to go for Galle to do shopping or to Mirissa to spot whales.

Galle old town was nice to go around. However, be aware that Galle is the most touristy destination in all Sri Lanka and you notice that. On the other side - the streets were very clean, which isn't the case in any other town in the whole country. One day or half a day is enough, as there isn't much to do.

Great beach for sunbathing and swimming! Nice little restaurants, travel agencies and shops: everything is in a walking distance. It's easy to make a daytrips to Yala National Park, to tea estates and to Galle from Unawatuna.

Ahangama is a nice small town between Matara and Galle. I was there 10-13.4. and it was offseason, so the beach wasnt too crowded. On the other hand, because of offseason, in some restaurants there wasnt everything available from the menu. Very nice clean beach!
