Situated in Pottuvil and with Whiskey Point reachable within 30 metres, Whisky Point Resortfeatures a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a garden. Whisky point is such a special place and I am so glad that I stayed here. The resort itself is beautiful and the perfect place to escape and disconnect. The staff are all amazing and very welcoming. As a solo female traveller I felt very at home and could have stayed much longer. The food is also delicious, from pasta to pizza and homemade banana bread! The first couple of days I was working remotely and I found it very comfortable with good wifi. After that I spent most of my time relaxing on the beach and enjoying the peaceful tranquility and good vibes. I 100% recommend.

The property was very nice and right next to the water. The hammocks were amazing to sit in at night and the place was well kept. The host, Mohammad, was the nicest host you will ever meet. He gave us his own phone charger to keep because we didn’t have one and let us take it after we left. He’s a super selfless host that just wants his guests to have a great experience.

I got sick with dengue (got infected in Colombo and not the hotel) and the staff was calling in the room asking if I need something and reserved the room for us as long as we would need it.

The Point Bay has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Arugam Bay. I loved my stay at The Point Bay! The room and bathroom were clean and there’s plenty of space. I work remotely and the room was perfect - there’s a desk and good internet. All of the staff are so kind and helpful, make you feel at home. The breakfast is delicious and very generous, perfect after a surf! The accommodation is in a perfect spot to wander down to the beach/surf, with the supermarket, cafes and restaurants all super close.

Although the place is located on the main street it is super quiet because the rooms are all the way in the back so there’s no traffic noise. Really good value for money!!
