Great location right beside the main train station with lots of restaurant options, convenience stores, and souvenir shops nearby. The parking was a lot beside the hotel with in and out privileges added to your room bill (1100 yen for 2 nights) and no issue finding a spot even when the hotel was busy. The points the hotel excelled at were the staff, the onsen was amazing, the breakfast was substantial for the price and excellent quality but the free items exceeded my expectations. Free probiotic yogurt drink in the morning, free popsicles in the afternoon & evening, free coffee, and the evening free ramen was excellent. My wife who is Japanese said the ramen was perfect. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel and Dormy Inn.

Hotel even provide free ramen at night. Popsicles or yogurt at the hot bath floor. We really like this hotel!

This is definitely our favourite Ryokan. The bathing facilities are great, especially after long walks! Next time we are back in Izumo we will definitely book this hotel. Food is really good, for drinkers it's worth going for the unlimited deal.

His English is also very good. He is easy to communicate with. The rooms are spacious and open. Although you in a city, it feels like a countryside villa. There is a small Japanese style garden in the back. The location is convenient. It's close to many restaurants. However, I would advise making reservations at the restaurants.

I visited several places in Shimane and Tottori Prefectures and the Dormi Inn is perfectly located for this purpose. The hotel is located directly at the train station exit, there are lots of restaurants in the vicinity. The room was quite spacious because I had a double room for single use. The thermal spa on the top floor is superb, you can relax outside in 42°C hotspring water. You can program the TV to let you fall asleep listening to three different kinds of relaxation music, very nice.

The staff was excellent and very helpful to a solo foreigner with nearly zero Japanese. Kind and helpful during my entire stay! Can walk to many sites. Station is nearby for busses, trains and taxis! The room was very comfortable and clean. I recommend this hotel if you are in the Shimane area!

If you want to get away in Japan, this is the place. One drawback: The local train from Yonago is almost an hour each way before you can connect to trains to visit around the area: Shimane, Tottori, and Hyogo Prefectures.

Amazing Hotel. The rooms are quite big (taking into account the Japanese standard). Staff very nice, they also provide you with different amenities that you might need (body wash, toothpaste, sponge, etc). The onsen was super cool and relaxing. Very close to the station. This was a luxurious treat and we all enjoyed it from the welcome by the general manager, the hot spring bath, the food, the room. One of our group had a massage which was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was an amazing buffet of Japanese and Western dishes. The hotel provided transport by shuttle bus to and from the hotel. Communications via booking.com worked well.
