The hotel is very lovely and we thought it was very good value compared with hotels in other cities eg. Fukuoka. The service is excellent and the hotel is very clean. The public bath was lovely too. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable.

I loved the huge window and the luxurious bench in front of it. Perfect for taking a rest after a busy day and watching the city life pass by. The open air bath on the 12th floor is what really sold me on the hotel, and it was perfect. The restaurant is also on the 12th floor, and provides a gorgeous panorama of the city and castle with massive windows spanning the entire walls.

Nice onsen and good food. The staff is very helpful, Mt Aso was closed for a few weeks before we arrived. She emailed booking.com to inform us on that night that the next morning is open. We managed to get there.

This is the best place I have ever stayed in OITA. The house is very nice and very cozy. It is very warm and the place is very beautiful! Even my mum and dad who do not normally say anything was very vocal how much they love the place. The owners were very helpful and very warm people too. Just a note that you cannot go here without a car because it is in the middle of the forest. But renting a car and going here was the best decision we have made for our whole Fukuoka trip!
