Located in Waikabubak, less than 1 km from Watu Bella Beach, Sumba Beach House provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. We had a great overall stay at the Sumba beach house in Sumba Island. The beachfront location was wonderful, and the staff, especially Jenie and Lillie, were sweet and attentive. The only suggestion is to add more food options as the current selection is a bit limited. Nonetheless, it was a memorable experience and will definitely come back!

We stayed at Mario on two occasions on this trip, once at the start and the end. It’s 20 mins from Tambulaka airport and is the perfect place to start to unwind and for preparing to complete a wonderful holiday. The staff are friendly and kind. The rooms are clean, well-considered and comfortable. Book the sea-view double, you won’t regret it when you wake up to the wide expanse of the sea outside your window. It’s right on the beach so you can enjoy the sand and expanse of salty sea, or lounge by the pool which, while some have noted looks strange in colour, but is cleaned every morning and is a saltwater based. Fantastic cos’ it’s great for your skin without the harshness of chlorine. Food is delicious. All in all, Mario is small enough to feel like home and still clearly a very well-maintained and cared for hotel.

Facing the beachfront, Tanoma Sumba offers 3-star accommodation in Maujawa and has an outdoor swimming pool, garden and terrace. Among the various facilities are a bar and a private beach area. Beautiful cottages and friendly staff. Nice beach.

Set on the beachfront in Baing and boasting a garden, Wajonata Sumba has free WiFi throughout the property. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. Exceptional resort with wonderful staff, they really do everything to make sure the guest has a wonderful experience. As a nature lover I like to travel off the beaten track, and the location of this resort provided just what I was looking for, a true authentic experience in the middle of Indonesian Nature, there are wonderful beaches near the resort like Praibakal, Watuparunu, Wisata.. I rented a scooter and spent days at the different beaches, as well as visiting the waterfalls and other cultural sites. Location apart the bungalow was super comfortable and with a wonderful view of the ocean, in front it is great to use the kayak and paddle near the reef where you can swim and snorkel. The staff experience exceeded my expectations, they make sure the guest has a wonderful experience and check every now and then if you need something. The food was very good, and in generous portions. My experience here was very good and just what I was looking for- I recommend. Next time I want to stay longer - The owner and the two ladies working there helped me to give me all the information about the area and they provided me a telescope to watch the stars at night which was super
