Hotel in Río Dulce
In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. What did we like? All of it! The rooms are tastefully decorated. They were very comfy, despite being in the middle of nature. Attentive staff, picked us up to and fro Rio Dulce. Good food, cold beers. Very refreshing to be able to jump in the river when hot!

Nanajuana Río Dulce has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and bar in Río Dulce. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge, a garden and barbecue facilities.... The hotel is actually much nicer than the photos. Our room was upgraded and we were given an amazing room right next to the water and marina. The pool is large and very clean, And the food at the restaurant was excellent, really good quality, so although a little more expensive than in some places, it was definitely worth it.
Hotel in Lámpara
Located in the middle of the jungle, 1.9 mi from Livingston Town Center, Finca Tatin Hotel features an extensive garden, a furnished terrace and hammock area. Might have been the best place I've been to in Guatemala. It's not packed with backpackers, instead I met a lot of Guatemalan families there. Amazing location in the middle of the jungle, on the river, and the staff is the best. Really made you feel at home.

Beautiful place. There were some mosquitoes, but that's obvious if you book a house in such a place. And the location is great.

- Food was delicious! - Staff very helpful! They recommended El Boquerón to us which we hadn’t heard about and absolutely loved it. I left a pair of swimwear behind after checking out and they kindly sent it to Rio Dulce Travel office for me to collect. - Location. There’s lots of great hotels/hostels/eco lodges along Rio Dulce, but Tortugal was perfect because there’s access to the main road where you can then go to the hot waterfall or Boquerón and also into Rio Dulce easily.
Río Dulce
This place is very close to paradise. The design of the hotel is very well thought, making it integrated with nature while being very elegant, comfortable and ecofriendly. The facilities are very clean anytime and you can find many spots to chill, relax and enjoy nature. The staff is very helpful and the food is great. Location is great, in a 3 minute boat shuttle you are in Rio dulce where you can take buses to Guatemala city or taxis to visit San Felipe Castle
Hotelito perdido is a little gem in the jungle of Rio Dulce. Very thoughtful and in line with the enviorement. You can swim in the river, do some tours or just hang out and relax. The staff is really friendly and nice, and they help you with everything. And the best food I have eaten in a long time. Their cooks are amazing and all the meals are really thought through and original. Really enjoyed my stay there.
Río Dulce
This is a really nice chill place to stay in Rio Dulce. To my surprise considering you are in a mangrove, it was the hottest shower I had in Guatemala, I did not get eaten by mosquitos probably due to the good quality mosquito nets and I slept super well. The restaurant area is really nice and the food is good - especially the fruit juices, hamburger and fries. The free kayaks are cool to take out as well.
Nice staff and room! It is noisy die to the road but if you live in the city it is the same amount of noise. We were so tired from our trip from Mexico city and went straight to Rio dulce it was easy for us to fall a sleep Also pick up (collectivo/public boat) from the hotel to Livingstone and other river lodges
Great location off the main Rio Dulce, with a great central relaxing area. Good range of activities on offer, including kayaking, walking and swimming, as well as a number of paid walks and visits. Take the hotel’s own launch from Rio Dulce, rather than the public launch, as it is better value and quicker.
Río Dulce
I enjoyed my stay in the hostel! I checked in at 11.30 pm and that was no problem at all. The room and bathroom were very clean, the wifi was decent enough to get some work done and Flor even warmed up my breakfast after my meeting ended. Would recommend it if you stay the night in Rio Dulce town!
There is a free boat shuttle provided by the hotel for pick up and drop off in Rio dulce to a specific schedule, cheap kayak rental, quiet atmosphere and friendly (and mostly competent) staff. They can also easily arrange you a highly recommended boat trip to Livingston.
Very nice hotel! Across the bridge from Rio Dulce itsself, but everything is a short tuktuk ride or boatride away. Perfect location and pool. Very nice cabins! Best we had in the whole of Guatemala.
