Beaumont Hotel is situated in the heart of the market town of Hexham, less than 10 minutes’ walk to the rail station. ideal location in the centre of town. friendly staff and great food. the room was comfortable and well furnished.

England's most northerly hotel, just 300 yards from the Scottish Border, the Marshall Meadows Manor House is set in 15 acres woodland gardens and boasts sea views and good food. This beautiful hidden gem was the perfect location for some rest and relaxation. from the moment we walked in the door the staff were friendly and helpful. Every time a staff member saw you, you were greeted warmly. Food was exceptional and their ability to adapt meals to match your dietary requirements was met with ease. Great vegetarian options also. Clean and Comfortable rooms. we will be back.

Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, The Cookie Jar (Alnwick) was formerly the Convent of Mercy, and is just 0.2 miles from the centre of Alnwick. Words really fail me to explain how special this property was. The attention to every single detail was exquisite. I’m a professional organizer. My business is details. I’ve never seen anything like this. Everything - even the lights on the floor that automatically come on when you walk into the bathroom - was planned perfectly when this former convent was remodeled to make a sacred space for all its guests. There was even framed sheet music in the halls to, I assume, pay homage to the beautiful music that must’ve once graced the hallways. The staff was so warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was like something out of a Veranda magazine spread. The breakfast was delicious. At every turn in the hotel and the room itself, we were met with a delightful and unexpected experience. Who puts this much thought into a public space? The Cookie Jar does. You made our once-in-a-lifetime trip unforgettable.

Located in Warenford, 8 km from Bamburgh, White Swan Inn features free WiFi access and free private parking. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. An unexpected gem in Northumbria for us for two nights. Convenient location for visiting the coast and castles. Room was clean and comfortable with nice amenities and welcome treats. The dining room was amazing, best food (dinner and breakfast) we ate in our 3 wks of travel. Friendly and welcoming, we would arrange a future driving vacay to be able to stay again!

Nestled in the picturesque Northumbrian village of Eglingham, The Tankerville Arms offers a bar and a restaurant. This luxury coaching inn also has free Wi-Fi throughout and free on-site parking. A really lovely pub with comfy rooms very close to Alnwick. We stayed here for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant both evenings. The staff were all very helpful and the food was excellent.
