Es una agradable ciudad, no muy grande, pero muy bien situada para realizar visitas por toda la zona de West County y Devon. Alojarnos en Royal William Yard, además de bonito, fue muy práctico porque la zona cuenta con diversos restaurantes.

It’s an old hotel that has a lot of personal memories for me. The views across the bay are unparalleled. 50 years ago this hotel was high class and iconic. Today that has faded, and it is not the 5 star hotel of yesteryear, but it still has elegance, space, style and setting that is unbeatable in Torquay. Also, at the time of staying (Jan 2024), the restaurant underpromises and over delivers. I would describe the food as casual haute cuisine. Impeccable menu, well balanced, all sauces made with concentrated and crafted flavors that are clearly prepared by a high quality chef. Also, thoroughly enjoyed a mud pack and massage. All the staff were friendly, helpful, attentive. Not the place it was but still a great place to stay.

La ubicación es fantástica. No pudimos disfrutar el esplendor del edificio porque la fachada está siendo rehabilitada y estaba tapizada de andamios pero es espectacular. Si buscas un hotel moderno y funcional, este No es el hotel pero si buscas un hotel con encanto e historia, sin duda , lo recomiendo.

This stay was booked for my parents, a present for their anniversary. They had the most wonderful stay and haven’t stopped talking about it since their return! The property upgraded them upon arrival to a beautiful room with view. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive and couldn’t have made my parents stay any more enjoyable. Thank you.

As a Iive in carer I needed a break and the location was perfect. The view was stunning with an exceptionally beautiful sunrise the day I left. There is a lovely walk to admire the view which is not far and not too strenuous .
