The staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel like you belong there.

Dating from the 18th-century, the Allanton is charming coaching inn located in Berwickshire. Wow, what a gem of a find, in a beautiful area of the country. Room was lovely, clean, comfortable and the staff were very accommodating. Met friends local to the area for dinner on the first night and the food was exceptional, a very good night had by all. Came down for breakfast the morning after and what a choice we had. Again food was exceptional, using local produce and homemade. Chose to have dinner on the second night also and was not disappointed. If we visit the area again we know where to book.

The room was very nice and clean and we had a good sleep. Meal was good and served in the bar which had a super feel for our meal with a friend. Staff were all pleasant and helpful during our stay . All in all a pleasure to visit and hopefully we will go back again.
