We stayed in the Kolod room at Kato Waidi and it was beautiful! The room, the property and the entire Nubian village is colourfully decorated. The room was a decent size, fabulously decorated and its domed roof made for the strangest acoustics (worth having a play with if you're staying with someone else!). The bathroom was small and the shower was almost directly over the toilet but this oddly was not an issue as it was not cramped at all and the water on the floor drains and dries up very quickly. Everything was very clean. We loved having meals in the outdoor dining area. The dogs and cats on the property were very entertaining and a highlight of the stay. The Egyptian food was nice too. The Nubian market is directly outside the entrance of the property and is a great way to spend a bit of time. There was also an ATM right outside the hotel entrance which was handy. The manager is so easy going and attentive. He ensured our room was available even though we arrived very early and even had breakfast made for us even though it was well past breakfast time! And also very kindly organised a private sunset boat ride from the property which was great. He also took care of the airport transfers. We paid for everything at the end of our stay which made things so much easier as we just added things onto our tab as we went along. The value for money here was fantastic. If we had more time we would have also taken a felucca boat ride with picnic.

There were a lot of food options for the breakfast buffet and their dinner blew us away. The best part about our stay was the support from the guest relations team. Prior to our trip, the guest relations team provided us with very prompt and helpful communication that helped us plan our time in Aswan. The whole booking process was easy and seamless. They helped us organized our transportation from the airport, our last minute day trip to the Temple Philae and the souk, and even provided us information on getting train tickets. ELagia, the Guest Relations Manager was available to us all the time. We felt like we were very well taken care during the entire time. The hospitality of the staff was superb. The location is further out from the city centre, but it was a positive because we got to experience the serenity away from the crowds. I would definitely this place to anyone, everyone.

Breakfast was wonderful and had a great view from the rooftop hotel. Also the barbecue for lunch was delicious.
