Although the room was a little smaller than I had imagined, the rest of the pension was excellent. The shower was spacious and equipped with soap dispensers, the bed was comfortable and large, and there was clean water in the room upon check-in to quench a thirst. I also should mention local restaurant - the chef is a master of his craft. We had lunch and dinner with great pleasure, same as breakfast next day. Local beer is also worth noting for its excellent quality. In addition, as a bicycle tourist, I would like to mention the willingness of the staff to help us with the storage of our luggage while we visited the local Wörlitzer Park on the other day.

Villa Wittstock clearly exceeded the expectations. Arriving there was a little WOW in itself. The next thing was the reception by family members - they upgraded us from twin room to 2 separate rooms. And all of it happened when they had not yet received any booking confirmation form Booking . com yet. The house is rare and classy find with squeaking stairs, paintings and candelabras with old clock waiting at the end of corridor. Rooms are all different, but spacious. Breakfast in room #14 with huge window opening to the courtyard is a really luxurious start of the day.

Room was beautiful with terrace overlooking the water and shower with back jets - perfect for relaxing muscles after a day hiking.. Great atmosphere, super chilled and relaxed, restaurant was similar to an American lodge (but way cooler). Staff were so kind and accomodating and were great Ambassador's for Germany. Would definitely stay again. Great for those on the Harzer Hexensteig.
