Beautifully decorated lodge located within 10 minutes of Augrabies Falls National Park. Very comfy lobby, dining, sitting and outdoor areas. Rooms were super spacious and very nicely decorated. Dinner was very tasty as was breakfast and the wine list was excellent. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is also a small asphalt landing strip next to the hotel for small aircraft in the event one wants to fly there. The house cat is also very friendly. :-) In short, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!

I liked everything about the place, the indoor fireplace had its pros and cons...mostly pros as it was extremely cold at night.The cottage is well-laid out and is furnished with many appliances should you wish to cook. The lack of a wifi signal is a bonus and we got to hang out around the fireplace. There are hikes all around the property, and I wish we could have had a more extended stay and gone on at least one. However, my 80-year-old mom wanted to see daisies😝 The bathrooms were adequate, the toilets worked perfectly, and the water was hot. The lodge supplied us with towels and washing amenities. All-in-all it was a great stay.

Warm and helpful hosts with great tips of what to do locally, really nice accommodations (we had the pleasure of using both) and the wonderful serenity were great. The loudest noises around the campfire in the evening were the crackling of the firewood and the clinking of the ice cubes in the glass - and that with a spectacular starry sky. Simply fantastic. We've experienced a lot on our travels - and it really is one of our accommodation highlights. And if you're here - don't miss the great fillet when Hanneke offers it to you.
