We stayed in one of the lodges which was well equipped. It's just a 10 minute walk into Picton. The staff are great too. Would stay again
We loved everything about our stay at Lochmara Lodge. We stayed for two nights with our family and It was a little bit of a splurge, but did not disappoint! The location was stunning, the fact that you got there by water taxi made it remote and uncrowded, and there were plenty of things to do (hike, paddleboard, kayak). Also, the food was delicious and the staff was accommodating and helpful.
We used Sequoia Lodge as a stop over for catching the ferry. It was a great place to stay. Very handy - a short drive - to the ferry. Lovely basic, comfortable and clean room. Comfortable beds. Kitchen and cooking facilities are available but we did not use as we arrived after dinner time and left at 5.30am. Would stay here again if in Picton.
The owners of the lodge are very welcoming and kind. The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable, bathroom is also nice. Great location, very close to ferry check-in and main shops.
Good for getting off the Ferry as it's little 2min drive from docking. Has a few facilities - alittle rustic It's a lodge (backpackers/ families/ couples staying - has a variety of rooms available) Organised a wine tour the day before Breakfast is a warm muffin and jam - nice
The location of this lodge is exceptional and the owners and staff could not have done a better job of making our stay enjoyable. Muscle night was a real treat, the icing on the cake.
The service, great attitude of staff. Super collection from the port to the lodgings and return the next morning to help with bags. Good food and drink on site.
