The guide is knowledgeable and makes every effort to find memorable wildlife encounters. This is our second time staying here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an immersive jungle experience in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Located in Mantanani Island, GreenHouse Lodge provides accommodation with access to a garden. The property boasts reusable plastic materials, using energy-saving lighting and conserving rainwater. The best stay I’ve had in years! 🏝️This is truly a relaxing Island experience and an opportunity for you to unwind in a secluded location. Thank you Sook Peng and Fred for helping my stay feels like home! They have arranged the transfer quite seamlessly, I got picked up from the hotel early morning to the pier and then to the island. The view is truly amazing as the lodge is right in front of the sea. They have everything you need for this Island: kayaks, snorkel masks, beach mats and coconuts (and beer which is a rare commodity in the island)! Thank you Sook Peng for the wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s wonderful to enjoy a hearty home-cooked meal by the sea. I also get to taste some delicious farm-to-table vegetables they’ve grown from their aquaponics farm ♥️ I’ve enjoyed my time on the island, there’s a dive centre 5-min walk from the lodge and it’s convenient if you’d like to join a dive or two. My room is right in front of the sea with a little garden, sun lounge area and a private entrance to the beach. You’re surrounded by nature and animals, I’ve seen cats, cows, tree frogs, big green turtles and more. Just be prepared for mosquitos at night, you can spray the room before you leave for dinner, I’ve also bought a “Deep Woods” repellent and some repellent wristbands which comes in quite handy. There’s no aircon in the room but the island breeze does help, the room is well-ventilated and there’s a fan and cooling machine in the room. Truly an amazing getaway, I must come back again!

Set atop a 100 metre hill overlooking the Kinabatangan Forest Reserve, The Last Frontier Boutique Resort is located in Bilit, and is located a 2 hour drive from the beautiful Sandakan. Jason is a lovely guy and the perfect host. He went above and beyond to cater for his guests. I am a coeliac and Jason really pulled out all the stops to present beautiful meals for me. The location is great and you are right in the heart of the jungle...we had a visit from 2 orangatangs! The visit to kinabatangan river and the last resort boutique hotel was a highlight of my trip to Borneo....very special

Nastanitev Bayu Senja Lodge se nahaja v mestu Kampong Kundassan v regiji Sabah in ponuja brezplačen WiFi ter brezplačno zasebno parkirišče. The lodge is amazing and it is location is readily and easily found within the Waze App. Signs to go to the place are easily seen so you wont get lost. Although the small stretch of roads heading to the lodge was rocky and bumpy, it was still a great experience! Location was beautiful and the view is just immaculate. Wonderful and helpful staff! Do prepare some mosquito patches for yourself if you need it. If not, you are good to go! And the parking space is limited, so plan ahead when you are renting a car to drive to this place!

Definitely will stay again. The owner/host very nice and helpful.

Nastanitev Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge je v mestu Sandakan v regiji Sabah in nudi brezplačen WiFi ter brezplačno zasebno parkirišče. Room was clean, comfortable bed/linens and great aircon and fan for cooling options. Food was good, portions were huge and lots of veggies and fruit for lunch/dinner. Our boat guide Irfan was amazing at spotting animals and we were lucky to see the Borneo Big 5. The ladies running the lodge are all so lovely, highly recommend their hospitality. Bring lots of bug spray for the mozzies and don’t expect WiFi in your chalet - it’s the jungle!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Lunch and dinner were amazing. The VIEW of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends. Sure will stay back here soon

Surrounded by lush greenery, Tampat do Aman offers accommodation in Kg Tiga Papan, 30 km from Kudat. This property offers pick-up services at an extra charge (please see fine print). Great location with a real jungle vibe. A stay at this accommodation comes with it's own little nature reserve. Good value for money, would recommend everybody to stay here for a night or more when visiting tip of Borneo.
