Offering ski-to-door access and ski storage space, Belle Vue Nishiura is located in Minami Uonuma in the Niigata Region, a 3-minute walk from Ishiuchi-Maruyama Ski Resort. We had an amazing experience at Belle Vue Nishiura. The location is perfect, and the lodging and amenities are clean and well-maintained. Satoshi was an amazing guest and went out of his way to ensure our stay went smoothly, including a personal shuttle from the train station. Skiing is close by within a couple-minute walk, and the ability to rent nice ski gear directly from Belle Vue (for cheaper than the resort!) was a nice touch. We enjoyed the on-site baths at the end of the day to relax after a day on the mountain. We'll be coming back for sure, thanks Satoshi!

Arai Villa Myoko is located in Myoko, 47 km from Zenkoji Temple, 49 km from Nagano Station, as well as 23 km from Lake Nojiri. The house was spacious and comfortably furnished. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen. The villa is close to Lotte Arai resort (about 5 minute drive) and the managers of the villa were extremely helpful in arranging transport for our group with a neighbour, who was charming and helpful. The manager also arranged dinner for us at a local restaurant which usually only offers lunch and this was a very special experience for us. The drying room was excellent for our ski gear. From the house are views of the surrounding rice fields and up to the mountains.

Located in Myoko, Myoko Forest Lodge provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. The hosts Chereyne & Brett could not do enough to ensure we had the best time.

Located 32 km from Zenkoji Temple, Myoko House provides accommodation with a restaurant, a bar and a shared kitchen for your convenience. This property was in a great location. it was very homey and the hosts were amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed, gave us good recommendations of where to go while in Myoko-Kogen and overall we’re very helpful to us!

Situated in Myoko, 31 km from Zenkoji Temple and 33 km from Nagano Station, Pension Moomin Papa features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, a garden and a shared lounge. Pension Moomin Papa is a very cute and cosy home from home. It was very warm with lovely underfloor heating, clean and tidy. You can order home cooked breakfast and dinner. The other travellers were nice and friendly. I loved my stay here!

Conveniently located a 4-minute walk from Akakura Onsen Ski Resort and a 4-minute walk from the bus terminal, Hunter Lodge offers free WiFi throughout the property and free luggage storage service. The staff was very kind. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Room was clean and well appointed.

Located in Akakura Onsen village and central to Myoko Ski Resorts, Myoko Ski Lodge in Akakura Village boasts beautiful views over the valley and free WiFi is provided. I’d offer an 11th star if Booking.com would let me. The Myoko Ski Lodge is perfectly located and a lovely residence, but the hosts – Geoff and Tania – are what made this a truly amazing trip for us. This was our first time skiing in Japan, and we could not have picked a better spot to stay. It’s walkable to an Akakura Onsen chairlift as well as the free shuttle stop that can take you to Akakura Kanko. The hosts helped us with transport and gear rental on our first day, allowing us to hit the slopes quickly and easily. They also helped the two non-skiers in our group set up interesting activities for the week. Our rooms were very comfortable for our family of five, breakfast was plentiful, and the onsen (natural hot springs) on the first floor were the perfect way to end a day of skiing. The town is lovely, not too big, not too small, and plenty of easy dining options. We were a tiny bit leery of the shared spaces when we booked (as we treasure our privacy), but I’m convinced this is THE way to go for a ski vacation. We made some great friends on the trip and it was so nice to hang out around the fire and share stories over a drink or two with other guests. The kids had a blast and we all enjoyed playing games in the play area/den. It truly felt like a home away from home. I thought a Japan ski trip might be a one-time experience, but I’m convinced that THIS is the way to ski – zero lines, great snow, good food, small town (non-commercialized) feel, onsens, and hosts who seemingly live to share this great experience with their guests. We will be back for sure!

Located only 650 metres from Akakura Kanko Ski Resort and a 5-minute drive from Akakura Onsen Ski Resort, Myoko Mountain Lodge offers cosy rooms with free WiFi and free on-site parking. Location, organization, food, welcoming host… was all great!

Offering mountain views, Morino Lodge - Myoko in Myoko offers accommodation, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. Super nice Lodge close to the slopes. Amazing staff and very relaxed environment. The outdoor onsen is a big plus.

Situated in Myoko in the Niigata region, 池の平温泉 ロッジ コクハ features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. The owners of the lodge , Hideo and Yokan are the most wonderful and generous people. Their breakfast and dinners are beautiful and very large. I had trouble eating all of the food provided which they take great care in preparing. They regularly offer support and advice on local activities. And if they have a discount voucher for local ski rental and lift tickets they are sure to offer it. The lodge is only 150m away from the ski lifts at ikenotaria. . Very easy to walk. Easy walk to the Alpine blick spa as well for a magnificent onsen experience (they had discount vouchers for that as well). The lodge has its own onsen which was great. Bus stop from Myoko kogen station is only 400m away. As is the Myoko shuttle bus which links sugiohara and akakura onsen. The property is great value for money.
