Walk the bridge over (wear walking shoes you are going to do some work while walking here), bring gondola back. If you take gondola over you will wait an hour and it’s short on the other side. Bridge walk is not the challenge!CarolynUnited States - 8.0Scored 8.0

It is amazing but I had my elderly father with me who walks with a walker. It is incredibly hilly and he couldn’t do much. We wanted to do the zip line, but he would have had a difficult time getting to the place you leave from and wouldn’t be able to wait an hour in line. I think it would be great if they had you sign up for time slots or something. He could ride around on the tram, but each place off the tram, the theatre, bbq, etc weren’t very handicapped accessible. I didn’t think he was going to be able to ride the gondola because they said you have to get off and go down steps and a steep hill and stand in line to get back on to go the other way. Luckily we caught a time when there wasn’t a line and were allowed to stay on. I think they could work a little on how they could improve their service to elderly and handicapped.

Lots of walking so wear good shoes!
Lots of walking so wear good shoes! The zip line was expensive and rather underwhelming for $45 per person. Plus the line took us over 45 minutes to get through. The train ride through the canyon was great!

Mitch, who was amazingly helpful telling us about everything to see & do in the area. Located right across the street from the Royal Gorge Route Railroad & a few minutes walk from places to eat in Canon City & a short drive from the famous Royal Gorge Bridge & Park it is a convenient overnight stop.
